We had to use Trent a few years back as a children's lawyer. Terrible experience. Very unprofessional. We would do meetings at his table and his cat would be on the table. We had to sit in our vehicle as 1 person at a time went in to speak with him. Once was in summer and once in winter sitting in our vehicle. His job is to be a voice for the children. He did not represent my children very well at all. We had to make visits happen with the children's father in order to appease the court. Before a court appearance I let Zimmerman know that a visit did not go well at all. We went into the courtroom a few days later and he told the judge that both visits went very well. He was useless as a lawyer for my children. He would cancel several times which kept prolonging the court dates.
The kids felt unheard by him, was a waste of time.hated going. He didn't listen to what the kids wanted to tell him yet he is supposed to be a voice for the children. The man doesn't even have children or a spouse of his own. he has a cat. So how can a man be a children's lawyer and speak for what's right for children if he has no experience himself?Because of his unprofessionalism I ended up going above him and complaining about him so that something would be done about his unprofessionalism..
we did not get along and I ended up telling him off...he made the process worse for my children instead of better. In the end his suggestion for court was try to get the kids to see their dad when they will. A year and a half of court dates and that was his advice. USELESS UNPROFESSIONAL

Save yourself time, money and many headaches. Mr. Zimmerman is unprofessional. He is over-analytical and too talkative with no results. On top of overcharging you, he is slow to respond. He used up all my retainers without doing much in any aspect of my separation case. Further, he abruptly terminated our contract without any notice, just three days before the deadline for submitting my file to the court. He even charged me $225 for writing an email regarding ending his services abruptly. I do not recommend him.

We should have taken the other reviews into deeper consideration before moving forward with Trent. It was a first being ghosted by a professional just by asking for a follow up appointment after paying a retainer. If he was more organized or hired staff and had systems to be more organized he could be very good. The intelligence is there but the follow thru is seriously lacking.

Simplest separation ever took almost 2 yrs and well over $9000. Obvious miscommunication sometimes between Assistant and himself. Positive note he saved me a bunch of money one area of my separation. Negative he is slow and talks alot
which you pay for but he does want to make sure you understand. Never sent invoices until the end when there were obvious over charges, you didn't know how your money was being used or how much was left until you got the dreaded email " to continue you owe this much more now"

Ended up having to go to another lawyer who told me I was over charged and they finished my separation in a week! He will fight hard for you

Terrible experience, with holding documents for days and weeks with no communication until the end of the month when the invoice for payment is due and said documents are still withheld until payment is received. Very unethical practice of business
