My husband and I recently sold our property in June, with an original closing date set for August. Unfortunately, due to issues with the buyer’s mortgage application, the closing date was extended five times over a span of 28 days. The uncertainty and lack of clear communication from the buyer created a very stressful situation for us.

I don't recall which lawyer I spoke with. However while he did seem experienced and basically offered a consultation free of charge; His information was not helpful. I was looking for an experienced lawyer to retain right away as my matter was time sensitive. I offered to pay thousands in a retainer fee right away to receive legal advice based on my situation. Instead he was giving me the run down on how other cases with no similarities to mine play out. He also told me that I would need a cosigner in order to retain him. Why on earth I would need a co signer to retain him when I had 6,000 cash ready to go and make above average income was the red flag that made me not retain through this firm.
