In most cases the nurses that come to look after my father do a wonderful job, and are kind, warm and very good at their jobs. I appreciate everything they do. In all honesty, there has been one or two over the last year that I would not want to see back.

My complaints are that up to about 2 months ago, we had the same nurse or two coming regularly, and were here usually in the morning. Most weeks we would get a call from the nurse coming, and would know what time of day to expect them. Things have changed and the last two months, don't think we've had the same nurse ever. My elderly father who has his personal needs also looked after, is so uncomfortable with a new nurse every week, that he comes up with excuses not be have his help bathing, as he explains, he finds it tough to get naked in front of a new woman every week. The other complaint is we never know when they will arrive. Last week it was 4:00 before anyone showed up, which means we sat at home all day waiting for someone to come. The nurse who did come, was one of the old regulars so that was great, however, she was not the nurse who was scheduled to come and that is why it was so late in the day. Today here it is almost 2:30, and we have had no contact from a nurse, so we wait, tried to call the office but went to voice mail. I understand the weather could be in play this week, but a part of me thinks that is just a handy excuse. So we play the guessing game.........who and what time today?
