I bought a canopy from this store in mid-April. On May 19th, when the weather was finally decent and I opened the box, I found the metal frame already broken and the tent reeking of some awful odor. I called the store to report it—got put on hold, only for another clueless employee to pick up, forcing me to explain everything all over again. She told me they’d do a one-time exchange without a receipt, which I appreciated at the time.

Before driving down, I called again just to confirm—this time, someone else answered and told me flat out that wasn’t possible because their 7-day return policy had expired. So apparently, not only do they sell damaged products, they also don’t inspect their stock at all, and the staff is.........just stupid.

If you’re buying anything from this place—especially something big like a canopy—open the box right there in the store. Make a scene if you have to. Rearrange their whole display if there’s no space. Don’t trust that what you’re getting is intact, clean, or even usable. Don't make the same mistake as I did.

This place is a joke. I went in looking for double sided tape, and after searching through two sections I finally found a single roll of it. It cost $12.50, the exact same price it was listed for on the Home Depot website. THIS IS A LIQUIDATION STORE PEOPLE. They paid a fraction of the cost for that tape, and they expect to make the same revenue? I would rather spend the time and energy going to Home Depot or Canadian Tire to give them the money, because at least they have selection and shoppable stores and would probably give my money back if I wasn't happy. And I don't even like those stores really, but I will never give that to this fake "bargain" store.

I’ve always been a loyal customer of this store and have had great experiences in the past, but my recent purchase of an air mattress has left me deeply disappointed. I’ve bought air mattresses from here before and they were in excellent condition—just like new. However, when I opened the box today, I was met with an overwhelming smell of dog urine and immediately noticed paw prints, dirt, stains, and even marker on the mattress.

I understand this store often sells used or surplus items, but there’s no excuse for reselling something in such a disgusting condition. Not only is this a serious health concern, but it’s also incredibly unethical. It’s hard to believe that no one checked this return before it was put back on the shelf, especially considering how obvious the condition was.

The photos I’ve attached show the mattress right after I unboxed it in my bedroom, so not only was I shocked by the filth I paid for, but now I’ve inadvertently brought someone else’s mess into my home. This experience has completely soured my opinion, and while I’ve had great luck with other purchases, I’m not sure I’ll be returning anytime soon if this is the level of quality control.

I bought a deep freezer from this location, condition looked good, but when I brought it home and plugged it in it did not get cold at all. I brought it back two days later, I was told by the cashier its not their policy to test electrical products before putting them on the floor because they are short staffed. This location use to be good until ownership changed it would be nice if they had testing stations so you could plug in your item and test it but they said they took away the plug in stations because people would leave things plugged in, don't waste your time on this location total waste of time. They sell junk

I am quite disappointed as I used to go there maybe once every two weeks. I live in Guelph but over the last year have only visited maybe 3 times. Everything is way over priced, for example there was a king size sheet and on it the price said $80.00. I asked the girl on the floor if that was the correct price and she stated that it was correct. I was mortified because it was not even a set, just a flat sheet. Even with the percentage off it as not a bargain. Treasure is suppose to be a liquidation store. There is a lot of junk. It seems like it has gone down the hill. Also the last time I was there, the girl in charged was aggravated at the staff because something got misplaced. She aggressively commanded the staff that they better find it. I worked in retail for nearly 50 years and I know it is not a professional thing to speak to staff that way in front of customers. Also my grand-daughter who was with me wanted to buy some cue cards and there was no price .The cashier asked the girl the cost and she stated if we wanted to purchase them we would have to wait to get a price as she was waiting to find out. She also stated she had a whole cart of them. Needless to say we did not wait as we were finished our shopping. She left with nothing and I maybe purchased two items. Could she not have used common sense to come up with a fair price. REMEMBER ITS SUPPOSE TO BE A LIQUIDATION PLACE.

Don't bother to support the thrift stores as they price guage all items are over priced and poor customer service. Thrift stores are non profitable and meant to shop for less. Liquation items that are priced same as what you find at the original stores. If I had to pay the same price of a gap brand t shirt or a George Walmart t shirt I would rather buy from Gap or walmart itself than to buy here.. why would people pay same price or more to thrifts if they can get it from the retail stores. These stores should be bycoted and shut down. If people stop supporting these business they will be compelled to price it right. Or just shut down. Ridiculous store with Ridiculous price. Don't waste your time.

At Treasure Hunt we can find many items at a lower price. This is the place which is ideal for students or new immigrants who are still settling down and can't afford to pay a full price to the things they need.

Definitely if you are planning to buy things from here make sure to see if the packing is broken or some parts are missing. So not the best bet for your needs but for people who need something which can just make things work in the budget then this is the place where you will end up finding some or the other things which are cheaper in rate.

All in all a decent place to get something at a lower price compared to regular prices.

Purchased two burners from Treasure Hunt Cambridge and when I brought them home and unboxed them, they were completely used and broken!! Claiming they were brand new in box and selling used is so unethical. Won’t be shopping there again and will spread my experience with others.
