Did my motorcycle test here and the instructor was great. I failed my first try at another registry (avoid beaverlodge) and had a ton of questions. The instructor was super friendly and showed me lots of pictures and made sure I fully understood what I needed to show him. He was tough marker but totally agreed with how he marked. We laughed alot before, during and after the ride. I'm glad I went here. The staff inside were great too, very friendly and even with the line I didn't wait long. Super good experience!!

I recently had a family go into the License Center only to find there was a code F in his license which means he applied or renewed from out of the province which he has never done. Rather than helping and being kind in a frustrating situation the agent was snotty rude and condescending. Not only to him but to me when I called in totes to figure out what happened. After speaking with another registry being told he needed to prove he was a resident of Alberta she still snapped and insisted he needed original copies of 1 of only two documents. Proving he could legally reside in Canada. Keep in mind he was born in Albert and has only lived in Alberta I asked why his current valid drivers license that has only ever been I. Alberta was not enough and agin she snapped. He went to another registry (one of two other we spoke to) who helped him with genuine kindness and concern for the situation and did not in fact require any document to prove he could legally live in Canada. Needless to say if you don’t like your job or working with the public do something else. Change your time and be a better human.

My sister just got back from her drivers test sobbing about failing, and said the reason the examiner gave was that "he couldnt tell if she was slowing down for the yellow light or the construction zone," which obviously didnt sound right. Asked my mom (who was there) and thats actually what he told her! I was appalled at that, what a nonsense reason for failing one of the best new drivers I know, that always goes 5 under the speed limit. Going to A1 next time

Stopped in a couple of days ago to renew my driver's licence. Line-up was fairly long when we arrived but we were still "in and out" and everything done properly, in less than 25 minutes.? An acceptable wait time IMO.

Juanita was the rep I spoke with and she was pleasant, helpful and efficient. Had no issues at all getting everything completed quickly and to my satisfaction.

The overall vibe at this office is much more pleasant than the other registry office here in GP (A-1). Went there previously and it wasn't nearly as well run as The Licence Centre. Staff here were friendlier and more customer-focused.

More space between each rep was appreciated as well, at the other registry office (A-1) it is very cramped. Confidentiality IS important, especially when discussing personal data in public.

Recommended and will visit this office again, when needed!?

For a business that is crucial to most people’s lives the hours and staffing are ridiculous. Waiting half hour in a line to be told I can’t do a knowledge test because I missed it by four minutes; after waiting a half hour in line because there are only five tellers and they’re all slow. Get more staff or stay open later or open on the weekends. The working class keep you in business; stay open for them.

Went to get get an application and they charged me $30 over what the application was worth and said they would fax it for me. Called to check the status on my application to find out it was never sent. I am now 25 days behind due to them not faxing it. I'll be going anywhere else than returning to this establishment.

Extremely rude- uneducated and disrespectful service. For a license center the manager wasn't even a tad bit helpful or knowledgeable.
We will be going elsewhere from now on.

All good.

In and out in less than 30 minutes, with everything completed.

Juanita was the rep we spoke with, she was pleasant and efficient.

No complaints.

This IS the better licencing office in Grande Prairie.?
