I was in the area and needed a document notarized, and was able to get in right away and do the document. I’m giving 2 stars for that. The receptionist was nice. But the price to do it was outrageous. Definitely shop around if you want to save some money. I went elsewhere afterwards and was charged half of their price.

My mother had chosen this law firm for her estate planning prior to her passing. I believe that she was a friend of the owner. Before she had passed my sisters and I went into the firm and had a meeting with her and her lawyer. All I can say is that I was not impressed with my mothers decision to use this company, however that was her decision and not mine.

It has taken a few years to clear the estate and disperse most of the funds from probate which I feel has taken far to long in the matter. But what I am most angry about is the disregard, and the lack of compassion and flexibility that this firm shows especially their legal assistant that looks after their clients estates.

I no longer live in Canada and haven't for 3 years. For the past year I have been traveling in Central America and have settled in Mexico. The town that I reside in is very small with little to no services. Therefore it is impossible to have a document notarized so that I can receive the last disbursement of my mothers will. Over the past year I have discussed possible solutions via email for the final pay out with their legal assistant who looks after the estate portion of their company. The other day I even asked if I would be able to use an online notary or if they could verify me. The answer was a flat out NO!

I was also informed that a direct deposit would not be possible into my bank account either. I have to say that it's easier dealing with my banks back in Canada and the USA than this person.

Let me say that this particular legal assistant is very rude, condescending, and an over all difficult person to deal with. I have explained my situation and that I would not be returning to Canada.

Furthermore its not as if I'm a stranger or some scam artist trying to get the last 10k of my mothers estate. I'm actually the last person to be paid out and then the file can be closed. I have gone through the affidavit process with them on the first instalment (let me say she made that process difficult also).

The law firm should have kept all the documents on hand from the first disbursement. So one would think that it would not be necessary to go through the same process again but rather just deposit the funds into your bank but sadly this is not the case with them. There seems to be no resolution in site where this person is concerned. So the money that was left to me by my mother sits in trust until a resolution can be found. if one can be found.

I have to say that over the past 25 years I have dealt with many different legal professionals on many different matters and have never encountered a situation as this. They have all be courteous, compassionate, willing to resolve difficult situations unlike this firm. I'm not sure what they have to prove by acting like this.

I would be careful in choosing this firm and preform all due diligence necessary prior to handling the execution of your loved ones estate or any other legal matter.

Please be aware and cautious.

Had a appointment for my 88 yr old Dad and they did not call us to cancel...Then Vern was extremely Arrogant to us! Poor communication, horrible prices...Called up the another Lawyer and was $200 less for the same services!!! Avoid this business! If I could give it a 0 out of 5 I would!

Verne and the Law Clinic staff are excellent to work with. They are friendly, efficient and have everything prepared before I come into the office. They are also one of the few law firms that are open on Saturday and I highly recommend them.

Arrogant and rude best describes the demeanor of the Law Clinic staff.
Wanted to charge us 250.00 for notary services that would take about 10 minutes and then copped an attitude when we stated we would go somewhere else rather than pay that exurbanite fee.
Went to a law office in Kingsway and got the same service for $88.00.
