Theresa Hamel has been amazing. I came to her as a self representative litigant in a family matter. All of my affidavits were filed, and I needed direction on how to present my case in Special Chambers. A week before the hearing, Theresa took the time to review ALL of the materials in detail before meeting with me. She then provided guidance on how the case should be presented which included a broad template of specific wording. Thanks to her expert advise, I was able to filter through the material and present the pertinent facts which resulted a very fair judgement. (Note: the opposing party had a lawyer to represent them).

Post hearing, the order that was drafted by the opposing parties lawyer was missing key elements. I again, reached out to Theresa to address my concerns to avoid future court applications. Although Theresa was not present for the hearing, the judge understood the concerns.

Overall, Theresa reviewed in detail, and listened with care and compassion. She avoided conflict while addressing the judge in a professional manner.
