Drove down from Alaska on the way to Tahoe a few months ago and the rear differential on my on my 05' Outback gave out just outside of Salmon Arm. Called around a bit and Stan's was the only shop in the area willing to take a look at it that day. After confirming the rear differential was the issue and the wait time for a new part was determined to be of some delay, a friend of our mechanics was willing and able to sell the rear differential off of a vehicle of his, and all work was completed by noon the following day. They also helped in deciding on what arrangements to make for the night in Salmon Arm. Great Family and a great buisness!!

I took a tire in to be checked as the man who was going to put it on my Jeep said it was flat. At Stan's, it was checked and I was told there was no hole in the tire. I paid $20 and had the tire put on my Jeep.

WELL!!! I drove home after having the tires put on my vehicle and it was bumping so bad I could only go 50 on the highway. Fast forward a few days and I noticed the tire was completely flat.

I have been STUCK now with a Vehicle that has a flat tire because Stan's aut0 repair told me it was fine. IT IS FLAT. How did they miss this.

Now, I have so many problems because I do not have a vehicle that can be driven.

How hard is it to find a hole in a flat tire? And how could This repair shop say there was no hole when it is obvious the hole was rather large if I bumped home only hours after Stan's OK'd the tire.

Others have said it. I'll add to the praise. Great service. Super friendly staff. My kid was driving from Calgary to Vancouver and has some problems in Salmon Arm. The shop took a look at the car, could easily have charged extra, or told us they couldn't look at it for 3 days, but they squeezed it into their schedule mid day, fixed what was needing fixed, and charged us a very fair rate for the work they did.

More shops should be like this. I highly recommend Stan's Auto Repair. Great service. Great staff. Fair prices.

Kal tire quoted $825 to repair rear drum brakes on our Toyota van..stan cked rear brakes cleaned drums all was good...kal tire very poor service

Amazing shop here. Helped us right away on our road trip tightening a bolt under our fuel filter we couldn’t reach ourselves with our crappy wrench set. 10/10 recommend. Thanks again Stan’s. 👍👍👍👍👍 shout out to Scott, you the man.

Leaving this review on behalf of my partner Daniel. Stan’s Auto Repair was a life saver when our vehicle stopped working while up in salmon arm due to a family emergency. They were able to quickly get us in that day to diagnose the problem and since a long weekend was coming up, they even made the effort of moving around another appointment in order to get his started earlier since it was a large job. (All appointments were finished on time) If they hadn’t we would have been stuck in salmon arm until the following Tuesday. They were able to quickly find the problem, were very fast and friendly and the mechanic even went above and beyond to fix one of the windows on my grandfathers truck we were borrowing when it wouldn’t roll back up for free. We were back on the road the following day. They’re honest, and fair priced. I would recommend them to anyone needing work done on their vehicle. Thank you so much!!

Car repair shop. Overall good, was there to do alignment and swap tires for winter's. They did the works good, but wish they would tell me that alignment could not be done before swapping the tires, because in my case I had to drive home on new tires without alignment.
