Although they were quick to respond initially, they took quite a while to install the door even tho I was originally told that the replacement door was in stock. More upsetting was the fact the installation wasn't done to my satisfaction. There was damage to the drywall when the door was kicked in and they told me that I had said I would repair it, something I would never have agreed to as I don't know how to do drywall. I did say I'd replace the door casing, but nothing to do with drywall. So it was my word against theirs and that was that. Disappointing.

These scam artists were hired by our insurance company after our sewer backed up. Initially, they told us the repair would take a couple months, but the months came and went and turned into more than a year without any work being done. Despite not doing any work, the estimate kept going up. What was initially estimated to cost $30,000 jumped to almost $50,000 and they wanted us to pay the difference out of pocket. When we finally had enough waiting and decided to take a cash settlement from the insurance company, we found out that service master had already (illegally) cashed and spent the insurance check. We then had to wait several more months while our insurance company fought with them to get the money back.

I had hired Service Master after 1 of my rental places have had a small sewer back up. The company was paid and had gone in there and did a clean up that was unsatisfactory. Upon multiple phone calls with the project manager he had agreed that he would go in there and fix everything that needed be fixed, cutting out drywall, more clean up etc. Weeks have gone by and service master keeps giving the run around. Will not
Use them again.

ServiceMaster cashed an unauthorized cheque from our insurance and never started the work they promised to. Then they had the audacity to ask us personally for more money. They kept putting us off, not returning our calls, didn't return the items they took and promised to give back. We were lied to about so many things, and they lead us on for years. They are incredibly unprofessional and untrustworthy. Save yourself the time and heartache, and seek services elsewhere.

My son's basement had a sewer backup, it was City sewer problem to which their insurance covered. It has been over a year since he has waited for Service Master to restore his basement. They don't return calls. They initially gave him an estimate and recently jacked it up another $20.000.00. He decided a while ago that they are a useless company and that he would not deal with them anymore. He has contacted the insurance company that he would like the payout and we will do the work ourselves. They then informed him that they paid it out to Service Master a while back, to which he did not ever authorise. I am now trying to convince him to consult a lawyer. I have read the wonderful reviews written here and question if they are in fact actual reviews. My advice to anyone considering this company is don't.

Owner Mike very professional. Also very helpful. I have dealt with him twice This third time I had someone else. I just can't get anyone to call me back as to why they are ignoring me. If you're busy leave quick message haven't forgotten you, please be patient. Something! Gentleman said we had a claim. He told adjuster at Ins Co we did not. Covered or not covered my basement needs to be fixed. We'll discuss whether covered or not when you get at the problem, makes sense to me.

My insurance brokers referred this people for home servicing and inspection of a water leak from my bathroom ceiling due possibly to a roof damage or ice damming atop it. After talking to them, one of its owners, Mike B. himself, as promised came by in just less than 20mins. He made a thorough assessment and confirmed that snow and ice must have indeed built up atop the roof. And then gave me some noteworthy pieces of advice on what steps to take to solve the situation. He showed me several pictures of the roof top which he already took earlier before we even met up...truly a well prepared gesture evidencing knowledge and well-honed skills of an experienced service person. And what was most appreciative of him was that he never even charged me for his visit! What a guy!! Kudos to all of you at ServiceMaster.
