I had a very positive experience at Service BC in Cranbrook. The staff were extremely respectful, helpful, and professional throughout my visit. I wrote my IP exam there, and the environment they provided was exactly what I needed—quiet, organized, and comfortable. It truly exceeded my expectations.

In today’s world, it’s rare to find this level of professionalism and high standards, even among government offices. Service BC in Cranbrook is a shining example of how public service should be delivered.

If I could give zero stars, I WOULD.
What a joke of a system for doing a driving test. When you book online, you receive a confirmation email with your test time, & the time you need to show up to "register".
However, if your test time is before the service center opens, you just stand around in the "lobby" with no chairs to wait.
If you are testing ppl before the center opens, maybe state in the email the door will be opened for the testing driver exactly at their test time and don't ask them to show up 20min before their appt so they can complete registration.
Also, if you are forcing people to wait in the lobby for their test due to the center not being opened, put some chairs in there and put a note on the 1st set of doors, informing patrons upon their arrival. Or better yet, maybe pay staff the extra half hour to open 🤷🏻‍♀️

I had a very disappointing experience during my road test. When asked to demonstrate my high and low beams, I mistakenly showed them in the wrong order due to nerves. Aaron Coker did not provide any explanation, nor did he inform me that I would not be allowed to take the test. Instead, he simply walked back into the office, and I only found out there that I had failed.

His attitude toward me was extremely disrespectful. When I asked for his name, he refused to answer. I was also denied the opportunity to speak with a supervisor, and I had to find out his name through other means in order to file a formal complaint.

It is unacceptable to be treated this way, especially when I have been driving for over ten years and was only trying to transfer my Argentine license to BC, Canada.

Customer service was pretty ok. The driving instructors on the other hand are god awful. Nothing about the driving test is fair, and it seems like they just fail students no matter what. They don’t even take the time to tell the students whether they passed or failed at the end. The backed up booking times are directly cause by this and it needs to be fixed asap.

I was failed for going too slow is what I was told, after most of the test had taken place in downtown cranbrook where it make no sense to accelerate to the speed limit and slam on your breaks in 30 meters. The driving instructor did not even bother to write a note on my paper about what to improve on. But atleast the lady at the front desk was very nice.
