The judges as well as 80% of the lawyers representing the Sault are incompetent. They lack basic knowledge and understanding in family and criminal law. The judges don’t even read affidavits, there is no fair or equitable representation for people wanting to fight for their lives. It’s repulsive to know how many lives have been ruined by ignorant, arrogant, money hungry, lazy and corrupt systemic abuse at the hands of the court system.
I know that the Sault isn’t the only place where good people are harmed by a flawed system..but the Sault is notorious for causing pain and agony amongst children, youth, single parents, and low income folks. This court system is failing us all.
Northern Ontario has 0 family lawyers taking clients right now, leaving parents without respectful legal representation in court. Allowing parents to “self represent” and then to not allow their voice to weigh any type of quantum in court “because they aren’t a lawyer”, is discriminatory and a set up by the court system (judges specifically). The whole system is failing us & we are paying for it, $$$$$ in the worst ways.

Violent colonial system that only helps itself and the abusers. No Justice or safety to be had for victims and survivors. Judges and duty council are actively helping abusers re traumatize and abuse their victims. This place helps perpetuate violence directly against indigenous women and children.
