Went for a few sessions and multiple times they canceled last minute (Same day) due to staff being sick and can never get through to the receptionist to book another appointment that will probably be canceled again. Not great service but the therapist is pretty good when I actually get to see them…

I have absolutely loved the counselling provided here. Whether I am working through mental health struggles, usual life challenges, or just looking to reach a new level of self awareness and actualization, my counsellor has helped me significantly. My counsellor definitely meets me where I’m at and finds strategies that work for me. It always feels like he is harnessing my strengths and tailoring suggestions to my personality and schedule. He doesn’t suggest things that add to my mental load or are unrealistic. He is genuine and built a connection without being unprofessional and is very approachable. I find it fairly easy to schedule appointments and love that I have options for in person, phone, or video counselling.

This has always been my first stop for counselling. I first came here about 5 years ago. I returned a year and a half ago. 2 out of the 3 counselors I've had have been great. The front desk has always been caring and pleasant to speak with. And very understanding when you call. They have always accommodated me and any issues I've had.

Got a counselor who listened to us for an hour then admitted he was not a relationship counselor (). Said we'd be contacted within a week for our next appointment. Fast forward 3 weeks, 2 failed follow ups from our side and promises of getting a call back from Sage we managed to get another counselor. Not bad but she took a side almost immediately which of course wasn't very professional. Oh and mind the Soviet Union decor.... Gave me chills.

I would love to say the name of the person I went to talk with today thou find it will not benefit this article in any way. I had a 1 hr 'mental health therapy treatment' that went wrong within the first 12mins of the time. Honestly, I find that if I had gone to a military boot camp, I would have had a better therapy experience & would have become physically drained instead of mentally drained. She asked me a question & I answered it then she said "you're lying!" I said,"I'm not lying, "then she said this again "you're lying". I was more depressed leaving there than I was entering in! It still bothers me I know it happened just earlier today thou with dealing with physical pain, concussion, depression & PTSD & loss of my father end of March I struggle with what happened today. Like I was judged already after 12min I thought I entered a psychologist session not a court room! I already called the 1 800 number that takes to to Sage in Moncton, already let the office know what happened ~ greatly disappointed in Sage staff member I talked with. Hope she reads these!!!

I was able to get in and see a counsellor very quickly. Receptionist has always been friendly and helpful. Waiting area is a bit awkward in the Covid era. I can't really rate my counselor as you'll likely have a different one anyway. But my counselor was very open with me that if I felt they weren't a good fit than I could change.

This was the most traumatizing "therapy" session I've ever experienced. There was no empathy, understanding or desire to help. Instead there was snap judgement, aggression, dismissive statements & extremely harmful suggestions. The person was even told that the client was diagnosed with certain mental health issues & didn't factor that into how they approached the behaviors that help was being sought for. If the client didn't have a support system already in place, they may have attempted self harm after this visit. Incredibly dangerous behavior by a professional being paid to help people who are vulnerable & who finally work up the courage to seek help. Very disappointing.

My brother went in for an intake assessment for a therapist, and was treated with complete disrespect and with no regard for his safety or wellbeing, along with the people around him. Came home in tears with my mother absolutely fuming because the supposed counsellor had kicked them out, accusing my brother that he was “just being lazy” (instant red flag) and using emotional manipulation and abuse against our own mother who continued to deny these outlandish claims against his character. I have no idea what that lady was going through, or what has happened to cause her to be so cruel to someone looking for assistance but this is a warning to those looking for help, this was a traumatizing experience and was handled poorly by people who claim to professionals.
