My recent encounter with Mr. Rohit Sharma strongly makes me believe that the reviews on his Google page are untruthful.

Mr. Rohit Sharma consistently exhibited a blatant lack of professionalism, professional courtesy, and overall competence. It took his office a week and 3 false promises to simply deliver closing documents, although he had left all the work in the transaction to be done by the other solicitor in the transaction.

Mr. Sharma is most certainly busier than a G7 head of state, as he barely answers calls or emails. Not to mention the exorbitant fees he charged which were at least 80% than the initially agreed amount. Indeed, at the beginning of the transaction, he agreed to represent both parties. The day before the initial closing date, he stated that he needed another lawyer, as the transaction was proving more complicated than he anticipated. He proceeded to send lengthy requisitions to the solicitor we managed to find, thereby shifting 2/3 of his duties to the other solicitor, while charging the same fees. When requested to amend his fees, his only response was to threaten to withdraw from the transaction. As the lender would not have a different lawyer representing them, we were stuck (and I mean that in all possible meanings of the word) with Mr. Sharma. The battle to close the transaction 3 weeks after the initial closing date was a fierce one, all thanks to Mr. Sharma's deliberate lack of cooperation. In addition, Mr. Sharma made sure to contract a title insurance policy with a company that charges twice the average market price, certainly to ensure a higher commission from the insurance company.

A close look at the demographic of the 5 star reviewers makes one wonder whether Mr. Sharma's lack of professionalism was due to an overall incompetence or simply racism.
