Everyone of the Trainers were excellent. They were knowledgeable, professional, and well prepared.
The constructive criticisms that they offered were both highly accurate and delivered with kindness.

It was obvious that they all loved their work and were clearly committed to helping their students to learn their craft.

Also, the backup technical help was outstanding. Whenever I needed some technical help (which was frequent), they would get back to me quickly ,even after work hours and on weekends.

I chose Riverdale Mediation because they were the only company to answer my questions about the program personally. Each step of my training was then met with an equal level of quality service and care for my needs. The classes were diverse and inclusive of all learning styles. I felt safe and comfortable sharing my opinions, beliefs and professional background with the other students.
The material presented was very progressive and engaging. I really enjoyed the extra presentations from current thought-leaders. It was a treat to personally connect with innovators in the field.
With a social work background, I was a little intimidated by the Family Law course. However, the class was very enjoyable! The lawyer students were invited to share personal stories which complimented the provided learning material. This experience created a cohesion between the students that helped everyone understand the material a little more clearly and made the course fun. I left that course feeling informed and very empowered. Something I carry over to my clients.
I would recommend Riverdale Mediation to anyone looking to complete their mediation training. In my opinion, they are hands down the gold standard!

I completed my mediation, arbitration and parenting coordination training at Riverdale. I started before COVID and completed part of the training during COVID. The training was excellent - comprehensive, well-thought out, immersive and a lot of fun. Hilary and Elizabeth are great examples of what it means to be excellent in one's profession. I have learned so much from each of them and I will forever be grateful for their guidance. All the professionals teaching us at Riverdale were friendly, well-prepared, helpful and went out of their ways to ensure that we get the best education we can.
I am also fortunate to have been part of Riverdale's "mediator-in-training" program. This internship program is my favourite part of this experience. It provided the practical training that I needed to hit the ground running and take files in my private practice. Riverdale's mediation program allowed me to change the direction of my law practice and I really enjoy my mediation practice I was able to create as a result. I am confident in my abilities to help my clients because I am confident in the practical training I received at Riverdale.

I took part in a recent workshop/seminar regarding screening for domestic abuse and family violence for the purposes of mediation. I found the guest speakers especially helpful in providing us with the opportunity to better understand the abuse dynamics within the LGBTQ communities. Broadening our understanding of the issues facing modern families allows for a more comprehensive and accurate screening. Finally, I am honoured to have had the chance to participate in a circle with some guests from the Indigenous community as it provided me with invaluable insights to the complex issues facing this population and the relevant applications to the alternative dispute resolution process. I thoroughly enjoyed the Family Law course that I recently took with you Hilary and found it both useful and informative. The videos that were shown interviewing various Family law professionals and their thoughts and perspectives on a number of family law issues were especially helpful and quite an eye opener. Having been out of the practice of Family Law for several years, I found this to be a fantastic review of the most recent and relevant areas of debate in family law. I would highly recommend this course.
