Things must have gone down hill with this firm...previous reviews were what made us select them to help with the purchase of our home. From the moment we started signing paperwork I was worried. Numbers and figures had to be corrected several times. They seemed very disorganized, but friendly.
We knew that we were in trouble when the previous owners had not paid all the taxes on the house and we ended up covering the difference. I felt this should have been reviewed. Then we got a bill months later from the city letting us know that the previous owners had not paid their water bill and it was added to our taxes. The city confirmed that there was never a title search on the property. This firms response was that they don't bother with those things and that is why we have to pay title insurance. They just gave us the email of the company that does the insurance. We were left to fend for ourselves dealing with an American company that doesn't properly service our area and has not responded to our emails. We are out over $800, while we sort this out...not to mention the city charged us interest after notifying us days before about this outstanding balance.
It took three calls to Wright Law to get them to even send us an email of the itemized receipt from them...and it clearly talks about title searches. I would recommend you use another firm as this one provides little to no actual help. I have and will continue to tell people to avoid Wright Law!

He explains things in layman terms and looks out for our company's best interest. he has been in this community for years and I can see why his reputation is stella. Refused to sign a birth certificate application requesting a gender change for my transgender teen daughter, which requires a signature from a lawyer, judge or MPP. Cited they were too "busy". How long does it take to sign a paper?
The government makes this process hard enough. It would have been nice to see someone local taking the time to help a young person in the LGBTQ community.
