I want to extend a huge thank-you to Carson for dropping everything in an instant to help my parents. While visiting me, the wheel bearing on their 5500 Ram blew out on the Alice Highway. They needed to be back down south for appointments the next day, and things weren’t looking good. Their truck limped into Carson’s shop with the tire barely hanging on and smoking.

In just a few hours, Carson had the truck fixed with a whole new wheel assembly, brake calipers, and pads. It’s no easy feat working on a big truck so quickly, and we’re incredibly grateful for him pulling them out of such a tough spot. It’s people like Carson who keep the North Island community strong.

P.S. Pretty sure my dad has a bit of a man crush going for you. Keep up the solid work!

I recently broke down on the road and was towed into Port McNeill. Carson at Red Steel was the only place I called that said to bring the truck there and he would help me out. The part was ordered and arrived the next day. Carson has a steady stream of vehicles and customer to which he manages very efficiently to get them on the road.
My new part arrived on time and the moment he had a break he installed it and I was able to get on my way. The price was fair and as estimated at the start.

I would highly recommend dealing with Red Steel Repairs! I am not from the area, but spend a good deal of time there in the summers and will be sharing my experience with friends and encouraging them to go to Carson for any vehicle repair work they need. His work ethic is amazing to see, along with the diversity of repairs had does. I'm grateful that he fit me in and got me on the road again!

Oh, he gave me the best price and I did four estimates at different shops. He did an excellent job in a timely manner. He even updated the clock in my car without being asked. I needed a ride to and from the shop which he provided. I would recommend this business to anyone. It’s wonderful to have such a quality auto service nearby with easy availability..

Excellent communication on what to expect. I’ve had 3 vehicles with repairs and all at a reasonable price of hours and product parts. My little smart car had gone in this morning and ready for pick up in a timely manner and they even tried to connect with me to make sure I had a ride home. I even saved on quote in hours. I 100% recommend them for your up coming repairs. Oh and if you all didn’t know they do tires as well😊

Dropped off my 97 rav4 for a timing belt and water pump Monday night and had it back Tuesday. Amazing.

Excellent service and fair pricing. I had an alternator stop working on my Ford e150. The Ford dealership in Port hardy wanted to charge me close to $800 for parts and labor! Red Steel did the work for $350 all in and it took them only an hour! Would definitely recommend these guys 😊

Great service and very knowledgeable. Drove down from Victoria to have the brakes done (I was visiting a friend at the time as well). They were able to do it on a Saturday, and had it done quickly. Also very competitive pricing. If you're on the North Island (or south island and don't mind a drive) I wouldn't go anywhere else!
