Lots of wonderful parks and trails. I grew up in Poco so my small town is no more, but as a suburban jungle it's pretty good.

No idea how the government works but this place looks nice.
We rested here and ate Gelato from Matteo across the street. There's a seat here you can sit on. Good place to just rest a bit.

-1 kind of old. needs an update and a bit of cleaning. that's all.

The City hall in Port Coquitlam is a very beautiful place with a small area and a very clean and convenient environment. There are libraries and coffee shops around, and parking is free.

Someone got killed yesterday while crossing the road near Lougheed and Oxford. We pay a lot in property taxes yet the roads are in bad shape, the paint on the lanes is old or barely existent. Try driving at night and using your adas system on a Honda 2025. It will not detect road lanes on main roads not to mention side roads, most of which have nothing painted on the ground that remotely resembles 'lines' that you would normally use to keep your vehicle in a straight line without crossing onto oncoming traffic. The city spends a lot of money enforcing traffic bylaws, in vehicles driven by staff dressed like law enforcement, cops, to give them i assume presence and authority? However in the meantime roads like Praire, from let's say Shawnessy to Coast Meridian resemble, I am not exaggerating, rural cartel backroads with lost of holes and imperfections, no traffic lanes or lines, poor lightning and perpetual road or lane closures while complex after complex gets built with no regard to residents or drivers in the area. After a building is completed the road is merely patched and left like that, one after the other. It's a shame to be abused so much by a bunch of useless burocrats who fail in every possible aspect except collecting (and increasing every year without exception) property taxes.

When my neighbor's builder undermined my walkway and fence, The City did nothing but told me it was a civil affair and I needed to come up with an amicable solution with my neighbor. It's ridiculousness the city required the builder to took some measures to protect the other side neighbor's tree before they starting construction, but ignored my house's safety (no retaining wall) and permitted the builder be under construction. Is a tree‘s value higher than a house?

Whereas municipal legislation and regulations authorize the City of Port Coquitlam, for the health, safety, and #protection of persons and property to regulate the construction#It looks like a piece of paper)
