I dealt with Julie Brown from this law firm, and if you’re going up against her, you have absolutely nothing to worry about. If you are considering her services, I strongly advise you to think twice.

My family law case went to a 3-week+ trial (relocation & parenting time), and the judgment is available to read on the BC Supreme Court website. Julie's performance at trial was extremely sub-par. I expected more from her, and I couldn’t believe that she took such a weak case to trial. She’s full of hot air – writes aggressive letters, gets overly aggressive at discovery, and when it came to trial, it was as if she forgot that she was a lawyer. Every allegation made was presented without proof.

I was under cross-examination by her for almost four days, and to be honest, I’ve had more difficult job interviews than her cross-examination. It's a blessing for you if she’s on the other side. My counsel was able to figuratively mop the floor with her. I advise all opponents to study her and how she is in court. I was able to do my reconnaissance over the years prior to my trial. You have to do a bit of work to find out when she’s undergoing trial and take some time off work to watch her in action.

As I studied her, I realized that she has a very difficult time reading the courtroom. She brought the same demeanor and strategy to my trial, and I specifically recall the judge simply checking out as Julie rambled on about non-factual issues. I’d change careers if I were her.
