Spent about 15 minutes discussing my mothers estate answering all of the questions regarding probate, confirming it completed 6 weeks ago, went to go ahead and book an appointment for the time I had told him I would be flying into town and now after 20 minutes on the phone he says he doesn’t book 2 weeks in advance (though most notaries are booked 2 weeks out) and to call when I get into town and he’ll see if he can squeeze me in. It’s two weeks before my trip, I’ve purchased a flight and he said he doesn’t book that far in advance?! I can and will call another notary of course, but he was extremely rude. Then he said, it’s actually that he may be booking a vacation…which is of course wonderful but he could have just said that from the beginning and saved me some time.
