Stephanie had just two months left on a crooked, biased, and unjust house arrest. She wasn’t a violent criminal. She wasn’t a danger to anyone. She was a young mother who had already lost everything — her children, her father, her stability. All she ever wanted was to be at her home, to make it a safe place for her kids to return to one day.

Instead of supporting her, you pushed her to the edge. She suffered a complete breakdown, cut off her ankle bracelet, and walked toward her home planning to end her life. That’s not running from justice — that’s a desperate, broken cry for help.

And what did you do? You didn’t give her treatment. You didn’t send her to a hospital. You threw her into jail — general population — while she is pregnant and suicidal. She has already been assaulted inside. If anything happens to her or our unborn child, it will be on you, the Crown, and the judges who enabled this.

You allowed Alexandria police to arrest her without a warrant, to assault her, to tow her car from her own home, and even to let her ex — who had active family and criminal court matters against her — walk into her house while she was in the hospital from her first suicide attempt. He used what he saw against her in court. And you all knew.

This is not law. This is not order. This is abuse carried out under the shield of authority.

I am writing to the Ombudsman, SIU, and the media. The public will know how you destroyed a pregnant woman’s hope, safety, and dignity.

How many more Stephanies will you break before you take responsibility?
