this is the worse mechanic i've ever been too, they charged me 500$ on my vehicle and wanted to charge me more for extra diagonostic just for the car to be messed up again 5 days later, i went back again to have it fixed and they said theyre all booked and never called me back just check if i needed the appointment, i had to go to another car shop and they fixed my car for me within 3 days meanwhile in ford northstar took 10 DAYS and it was never even properly fixed, i wish i NEVER spent a dime at that place. i wouldnt recommend anyone to go there. bad service !!!

Brought my vehicle in for is 48000km service. A few days before I had a major safety issue. My dash lit up like a Christmas tree and my speedometer showed 60kms an hour while I have my cruise control was set to 120kms. Then my vehicle sped up to try to reach 120kms which I was already going and almost put me into the back of a bus.
They called me and said my diff vent was broken off. Which isn't covered under warranty and wanted to charge me for a diagnostic. Nobody told me about any charges as my vehicle has full extended warranty. It was Friday so they kept my vehicle all weekend cause I refused to pay them as I wasn't told about any charges which is illegal.
Monday the service manager called me and apologized about the charge and said the paperwork would be done and my vehicle released with my keys and paperwork inside since I would pick it up after hours.
I arrived to get my vehicle no keys and no paperwork. Now my vehicle has sat in their lot for 4 days wrongfully.
I have text messages from the manager at 2pm stating my keys and paperwork will be in my vehicle and they close at 6pm.
She also tells me there is mud build up and maybe that caused it to break so no warranty. My truck doesn't leave the road EVER. maybe dust built up.
They tell me they want to tear apart my diff to look for damage which isn't covered under my extra 10,000$ I paid for extended warranty.
I tried to contact the dealership for 4 hours with no answer and no call back from them.
I try to get the damage diff vent from them so I can have it inspected, and that's why I think they don't answer me.
This has been the worse experience I've had with a brand new vehicle. I cant even believe how bad of service this has been.
I will never bring my vehicle there again for even an oil change.
They also tells me i have 3 seals leaking which are covered under warranty and after I refused to pay the illegal charges they tried to make me pay. There's no response about the warranty work.
I suggest anyone thinking of bringing their vehicle there to go elsewhere

Service advisor Dawn was not a very pleasant person to deal with when picking up my truck, my transmission was over filled when I had my engine replaced over the winter, which caused problems on the highway but after having it towed in and then went for pick up she tried to tell me that they wouldn't have overfilled it, told me I did it because they didn't touch the transmission for the engine replacement, tried to tell her it's bolted right to the engine but fought me on it. The manager was pleasant to deal with after though.

I had the technician calling me to go for a drive test with him to show exactly what the problem on the 4 by 4 was. I went and did the drive and he was happy to see the problem. With my English as a second language couldn't explain exactly, but them workers there are eager to find the problems and fix them. I would recomand to anyone Ford Gegoire in Fort Mcmurray, Thank you Dawn Mackie and the tech guy, you are the best

Kathy Winstanley was outstanding and would make a Great service manager in the future of Northstar Ford. Also Frank the service Machinic Done an excellent job on rebuilding my truck engine. And I can’t forget Richard the service manager who helped me find out if my Cam covers would fit on my engine. They was all so Great and deserve a Pay Raise. In closing i give Northstar Ford 7 stars for excellence in Communication and workmanship Thanks again Leonard Ross.

McKenna is an amazing service advisor. To say I was a needy client would be an understatement. I was calling frantically everyday to get updates on my vehicle. She was always available to answer my calls and update me on the status. She is super knowledgeable and if she didn’t know the answer to a question she would find the right person who did. I would 100% come back to this dealership in the future solely based on her customer service. The repairs were completed timely and done right the first time. Great work Northstar Ford Gregoire!

I asked for an oil change and a diagnosis on a code that had come up then went away, just to make sure everything was fine. The diagnosis was done and everything had come back normal, but no oil change. It’s disappointing that the oil change was not done.

Edit to add: I had to call to get an update and found out my truck was done getting an oil change. Wondering why they never called to tell me this.

As always I received very good service from North Star Gregoire.
I turned up to make an appointment, they were able to take my Truck In straight away.
My vehicle adviser was very professional, friendly and knew her stuff. She looked into my Truck History and ordered parts for two Ford Recalls. She then directed me to the Main Reception Desk, my ride home was booked for me, I waited a short time in a comfortable waiting area with a good selection of Beverages. I was promptly informed when my Truck was ready and given a ride back to North Star Gregoire.
There my Truck was ready and waiting.
