If the entire world gave service and cared as much as Alex and his team as Moodys do… This world would be a much happier and unbelievably efficient place.

I honestly am blown away at the level of professionalism, knowledge and absolute care for their clients that this Moodys team has.

Renouncing citizenship can be a very scary thing. From meeting number one with Alex, I felt completely at ease and like I had made the right decision.

On top of all that we shopped around and they are extremely fairly priced. Beware of people that say they do this on the side. It is way too comprehensive. This team has done, thousands and thousands of pronunciations.

Do yourself a favor and request a time to watch their seminar and then after that book sometime with them to talk through it. I’m so glad Alex and his team worked with us. By the way, our annunciation meeting at the embassy is in two hours. By the time you read this, we have a new life.

Overall, my experience with Moodys Private Client to assist me with renouncing my U.S. citizenship was incredibly positive. Alex Marino was my primary contact and he and his immediate support team offered obvious knowledge and expertise in guiding me through the renunciation process. I could not have gotten through the process without their expertise and support.

I did provide feedback directly to Alex at the end of the whole process. Because of his expertise and communication style, he sets a very high standard of expectation of broader service and support. When going through the final tax return preparation with them, this side of the business whilst ultimately delivering what was required (and achieving a final tax refund for me), The process of dealing with the tax team was not as efficient as dealing with Alex and the renunciation team. Their communication with me was often slow, and there were some organisational/personnel changes which occurred but not communicated to me. At times it became confusing, and I had to request Alex's direct involvement to prompt action and to clarify who became my primary contact specifically on the final tax return.

But my overall experience with Moodys was very good and I thank them for all of their support. I would not hesitate to refer any potential new clients seeking to renounce citizenship.

The renunciation of US citizenship process is a lot more complicated and difficult than it might sound. There's no way I would have been able to do this on my own. With the help of Alex and his team, I was able to do so successfully, with a minimum of hassle. they handle all the tough paperwork. They also brought the last five years of my US taxes into compliance. The risks of not renouncing correctly are quite high as it could end up with you being barred from entry to the US. I discovered Moody's US citizenship renunciation process during a webinar early in 2023. "Unbecoming" a US citizen had been on my mind for a few years and having 2 other citizenships made it easy. I renewed one of my other passports and worked with Alex @ Moody's to attend a 'swearing out' appointment at one of European consulates (painless process) then worked with Moody's to manage my last US tax return for TY2023. It did cost a few thousand Euros to deal with all of this but I didn't want to waste time doing it myself and making mistakes.
