The worst organisation of lawyers. The lawyer named Adam Zibdawi was working here in 2022 who started our daycare deal as common lawyer of us and the seller Doaa al Naggar. Adam had made fake documents and released our 150 k deposit held in trust at Masuch law. I requested them to release the documents but they could not find anything except the draft we have deposited. Courtney stopped receiving my calls and never revert back on the emails. I strongly recommend people to avoid using them as your lawyers. They are not trust worthy at all.

I have worked with Adam Zibdawi for a real estate purchase, a sale and another sale that was not completed due to the purchaser not being able to get financing. Two out of three times the deals were private sale/purchase with no realtors involved. I needed Adam to review contracts to ensure that I was protected. He was very welcoming and gave me great advice. He was kind and approachable even after hours of business. Administrative staff are nice and respond to my emails/calls in no time. I am very happy with this firm. I will continue to work with them and recommend Adam to anyone looking for a real estate lawyer.

Adam came highly recommended by my realtor/mortgage broker team - Delia Addessi and Matteo Saccomanno. I needed someone who could be flexible with my schedule but also give me a reasonable rate for the purchase of a condo. Firstly, Adam was very flexible with my schedule and was able to meet me at a time that I know most lawyers wouldn't touch. Secondly, he was very thorough. I walked away knowing that I completely understood everything I signed and why it was important in the process of purchasing a condo. Thirdly, he was very professional and the transaction went flawlessly. I've purchased a home before, but this was a different experience in that each piece of document was explained in full detail. I was very impressed that a lawyer would take the extra time to explain things to his clients and confirm that they completely understand each piece of the paperwork. I highly recommend Adam for any sale/purchase of a home, and I would use him as my lawyer again in the future.

I have to say I am extremely shocked and sick to my stomach with how Masuch has handled my case. Disappointing doesn't even come close to describing how Masuch has conducted business/communication throughout my experience.

Cassandra Jackson was my initial lawyer then Ranya Zibdawi took over my case when Cassandra went for maternity leave.

The moment I asked for a little bit of accountability from the firm, they decided they could no longer represent me. This alone speaks volumes about how the firm operates and where their values are as a company. When they felt they could no longer get any money from me, my situation was no longer worth their time. Then as they told me they could no longer represent me, they proceeded to look for ways to empty my retainer just before they let me go. Then they had the audacity to do this after I specifically asked them not to do any more work on my file to preserve the remainder of my retainer until I could get the answers I was looking for (this is well documented in the emails I sent them).

Looking at the documents they had given me, I had some significant issues with how they used my retainer:

It was said that they had submitted the incorrect format of documents for the statement of claim, and it had to be resubmitted to the courthouse again. I should not have been billed for any time where they had made a mistake. I am paying lawyers to do this work, and I would expect they (as the professionals I hired) to know what proper format to use for these forms.

After I met with David with my initial concerns about how Ranya was handling my file, he then recommended I meet with Adam. He told me that my first meeting with Adam was a courtesy consultation to get clarity on the issues I had with Ranya. But yet it shows I was charged for that time (a considerable amount).

There should have been no more monies withdrawn from my retainer after I told them not to do any more work on my file until I got answers to my questions.

I'm also quite upset that I never got clear answers to my questions. Most of the time responses are very vague, and often I ask very direct and very specific questions that just didn’t get answered (this was terrible with Ranya). This was the same thing I dealt with since I started (especially with Ranya). I never got answers to my questions. Not sure what I paid for. They were supposed to be my counsel that I could rely on. If I ask questions, it should be common sense that I get solid direction and/or direct answers.

When I met with Adam in person, he even admitted that Ranya didn’t push hard enough to move my case forward. He said that Ranya was not aggressive enough and that more could have been done, but yet, I still have to pay for the time of Ranya’s INSUFFICIENT efforts. Is this the standard of work that Masuch abides by? From my meeting with Adam, it was quite clear that Adam was trying to protect Ranya because she is his sister.

I had a question for Adam back in December. I emailed him asking him to call me. Adam called us in the off hours right away, but his tone changed immediately when he found out it was a question that he would not make any money on. Then he said he would get the answer to my question the following day. Then I did not hear from him for two weeks. And I had to follow up (yet again) with him to track him down and yet I still didn't get answers to my questions. It's a shame that Adam became disinterested and did not get back to me for weeks. I get that they need to make money, but there also needs to be a healthy balance of actually caring about people's circumstances and wanting to help as well. I have zero faith in this firm. It also appears that Masuch Law have merged with Ogilvie Law. So if you are planning on using Ogilvie Law, buyer beware of which lawyers you use there.

I’m a single mother trying to make ends meet. Not only have you wasted my hard-earned money, but I also have nothing to show for it.

Literally the best law practice ever!

I had the pleasure of working with Cassandra Jackson (and kind of David Masuch) through my collaborative divorce and they are both just the best. Real humans who actually care and you can feel this radiating in their office. I highly recommend these people to have your back with however small or large your issue is!

They are timely, efficient and most of all knowledgeable... outside of being genuine!
