Jessica was able to provide calm, professional and very knowledgeable assistance to my husband and I when we found ourselves (as landlords) in an alarming and eventually unsafe situation. While I am thoroughly knowledgeable with the Residential Tenancies Act, it was her complete understanding of the procedures with the Landlord and Tenant Board that made her so valuable. When I received a notice of entry, I tried asking for identification with this woman and her companion prior coming to my apartment door. A business card would have at least been sufficient however both refused to provide me with confirmation of identification on who they were and were very rude and verbally aggressive towards me. Yes, there was witnesses. I have since found ( thru LinkedIn) she is who she says she is but why make it so hard? I did tell her I’m happy to comply as long as I know the person coming in my apartment is proper representation of landlord(s) and not just a scam.

Trust me, when you’ve been the victim of a scam once you’re very cautious there after, these women reused to understand that or maybe they did…. Who knows?

But what I do know is, I am completely happy to provide this company entry now I know it’s on the level and she is who she says she is.

But why did she have to be so threatening, scary and hateful about it?

I feel her behaviour was very much an abuse of authority on my first interaction with the woman. That said, I now know she has the right to enter with notice and am willing to provide entry in the future. I’m puttering this information here to protect my safety also as she not only threatened me, she threatened my daughter who is a minor.

Upon my daughter telling her to talk to me when she and her companion knew exactly where I was left and did not come back to tell me they were ready to enter my apartment.

In fact, in front of witnesses she put her hand up and said that’s enough, we’re done with you. So I took them at their word.

Apparently they “were not” “done with me”.

And now I’m in a position of having to go to the landlord and tenant board to protect my safety against the threats of eviction, for ONLY trying to ensure I knew who was coming in my apartment.

Very unprofessional behaviour.

Update: Still unprofessional and still aggressive and response by Lotus is full of misinformation. No surprise there! Lol. As for having to go to landlord tenant board, you can guess all you want lol because that was solely based on your threats. Other than that I have no issue with guardian my only issue was ever with you and your cohorts, aggressive behavior, and I do have witnesses. The loud voices in the hallway came from you, Madame, I only raised my voice to match yours because you weren’t letting me speak. So you and your lady friend can go pound sand. Have a nice day princess and I’m sure one day karma will catch up with you when somebody treat you the way you’ve treated other people. You’re a bully and nothing better, in my opinion, and that of my child.

I still think you and your little friend are as shady as hell and my dear that is also the opinion of several others that you “conversed” with that day. I have been told I am not alone in my opinion and maybe others should also look up your interactions with the tenants of “PEARL Crescent, Chatham”. I have to say I did find that article in the newspaper interesting regarding your interaction with tenants at Pearl Crescent. Yes, very shady. In my opinion.
