This whole operation seems like nothing more than an attempt to mine our personal information for the sake of profit. I requested a meeting with a lawyer because I am a disabled LGBT experiencing a legitimate crisis in the form of a human rights violation. It took almost 2 weeks to get a meeting. Two weeks ago, I needed to be speaking to a lawyer. When I met with her, she acknowledged I had a case on multiple fronts. That my evidence was valid. But when I asked her please for help in being connected with a lawyer, she refused. When I asked her for help directly because I had a case, she refused. Instead, she gave me the number for legal aid, the same number I received, along with hers, in order to get help for the first place. I can't believe how hard it is in Canada to get a lawyer when you are poor. I can't believe I was told by this lawyer, who wouldn't help me, yet admitted I had a case, that we "don't have civil rights in Canada." What an absolute sham. Nice to know that LGBT flag you hang outside your office is just for show and attention.

If you want to play phone tag, this is the place to call. You will leave a message or an email. They will call you in about a week later. If you cannot answer, too bad. Better luck next time. Cannot even address any concerns or provide someone to follow up. Another useless "help"

I was told to go to legal Guidance for help and when I went they had a sign on the door saying they were closed for the day, even though it was one of their regular work days. I'm disabled and in a wheelchair and travelled by many busses across the city to come to them just to find it closed. I called the following day to try to set up a new time and left a message for someone to call me back and to this day they never have. Now it's too late. I lost out on the situation I needed help with.
