I asked for a lawyer knowledgeable about human rights and they referred a real estate lawyer. Other lawyers refused to take the case because of their lack of expertise. Other lawyers give you 15 minutes free then start the clock so you have to pay while they spend all the time asking basic questions that should have been addressed prior to the consultation. I believe it is just a money making referral service for the lawyers to get suckers like me to pay so they can get a weekly amount of time billed without providing a meaningful service. I believe the lawyer referral service is operated by unqualified people. Not recommended

Garbage. They referred me to a lawyer who suspended for stealing money from a client who was in foreclosure. And my questions were about a foreclosure situation. Free services in bc for ya…

Don’t even bother contacting these people! Maybe one of the worst experiences of talking to somebody who keeps saying if you don’t pay you get nothing. No complimentary consultation unless you commit !!! I wish I could record her voice !

I was looking for lawyer who can help me to get a guardianship letter and asked them if they can refer me a good lawyer. First she was so impatient and saying that if she finds me a lawyer they will say NO to me so she can’t help, then when I resist that its worth to try , she literally told me “DON’T CALL US AGAIN”. She didn’t said her name but she had an accent and extremely rude customer service.

Recently this lawyer referral service was changed to access pro bono referral. So public could not exercise their equal rights and no longer could access to find a lawyer anymore. Lots of dodgy people I knew in my daily life and my opponents like to falsely claim their low income status to use pro bono service. Canada just create and breed systems abusers and scammers with its porous free pro bono service.

Tried to make contact several times each on a different day, with the same outcome. The mail box was full and the recording asked to try again another time. I gave up on this service. I gave one star only to be able to leave this post.
