This law firm is a dog and pony show and the 2.7 stars speaks volumes that we aren’t the only ones to experience disappointments. We reached out to the firm and forwarded approx. $625 tax included for a 1 hour zoom consult conference with Brian, the senior lawyer. Leading up to our meeting his assistant had been efficient in organizing all of the details, but on the day of the meeting, in fact just 30 minutes beforehand, they called to cancel…we had planned our whole day around the appointment while we were on a vacation. Following this occurrence we rescheduled another conference call two weeks away (1 month since we reached out to them).
That day and time arrives and we log in to the zoom only to find a blank screen. We wait several minutes wondering if there was a technical glitch as we have heard nothing from them. We waited for a few more minutes and then decided to call the firm. Their response was he was stuck in court. Once again planning our day around their schedule and this time to make matters worse they didn’t have the decency to call us and let us know, we had to call them and that’s just wrong, strictly on principle.
Your poor star rating speaks volumes of your firms lack of professionalism.
We’re happy that their true colours were revealed to us at the onset but furthermore thrilled that we haven’t employed their unprofessional services.

I had a very bad experience with this lawyer representing me on a very simple Will and Last Testament matter that he managed to louse up completely. He allowed opposing counsel to do damage to the estate property, is my first issue with him. His rates and charges were astronomical and his method of handling issues was nearly nonexistent. Want to never get an answer to written questions, or simple emails and only get an automated reply, then this is your guy. He's there to take your money but not to do the job he was hired to do. He literally quit five days before an arbitration hearing leaving me high and dry and then refused to forward case information to the new attorney I obtained. He didn't even inform me it was scheduled for that date. He's not on the ball, it's that simple. My advice is to run as far away from this law office as you can get.

Brian was a very helpful, no nonsense lawyer. I was overwhelmed by the entire legal process and was getting nowhere after 1 1/2 years with my former lawyer.
When I visited with Brian he gave me an expected time line for the process to end and he held true to it.
Brain skillfully led me throughout the entire process. He let me know in no uncertain terms which battles were worth fighting for and what to leave alone.

If you are a victim of Brian Kelly's unethical and immoral practices please consider filing a formal complaint through the LSO (Law Society of Ontario).
I am writing a review based on the services, or rather the lack of services that Mr. Kelly provided for a family member of mine. My family member paid Mr. Kelly fees and very high fees, yet after weeks and weeks of waiting, he had no update or indication that the case had progressed. Mr. Kelly failed to respond and when he or his team did, he played games. His lack of knowledge surrounding law is astounding and should be concerning to you if you are considering using Mr. Kelly to represent your case(s). One of the biggest red flags is that he does not specialize in a specific area of law, instead he claims to practice in 14 different areas according to his website including; civil litigation, family law, business and commercial, employment law, appellate law, personal injury law, wills and estates, municipal law, administrative law, real estate, human rights, criminal law, enforcement / collections, controlled goods. My family member's case fell under the area of family law and unfortunately Mr. Kelly failed to indicate that he had any type of knowledge or experience in this area despite his claim which states otherwise.

I cannot recommend this lawyer and based off of the reviews of others it is disappointing to see his dishonest practice is harming others.

Luckily through the LSO my family member incurred most of the money back which they paid to Mr. Kelly though they did not receive 100% of it. I strongly encourage anyone else going through a similar situation to reach out to the Law Society of Ontario to get an understanding of your legal rights which Mr. Kelly fails to provide. If you have paid for a service that Mr. Kelly is unable to provide it is likely that you are entitled to be refunded the money you have paid him.

This Firm was to represent me in an extremely simple wedding contract. They were waiting on my fiancees lawyer to contact them. When they were contacted, they declined to move through the process because they quote - didnt want to be a witness to it -. Thank you for wasting 3 weeks of my time, and doing nothing to inform me of their decision to decline our agreement. And it doesn't need to be said, but their rating is highly inflated by the "totally legitimate" reviews near the top.
