Came here to seek advice and possibly get representation for a private family adoption matter between me and my brother. Very simple matter. The lawyer was very rude, spoke down to me, kept questioning why I would want to adopt, undermined everything I said and kept insisting I should settle with my guardianship order because "it's practically the same thing" a good lawyer would know that they are actually VERY different. When I pushed further about how sincere and insistent I was, he pulled out his laptop and literally googled everything I had to do to apply for adoption on my own. I had to laugh because that's exactly what I did before coming to meet with this lawyer. Who knew I could be a lawyer just by opening my own laptop and googling all of the forms and processes? So ridiculous. I told him I had already read up on everything and filled out forms but explained that I needed representation to go to court against bio parents and only needed a lawyer to help me file everything and stay on top of the logistics. But this man was not helpful at all, didn't know jack and basically tried to talk me out of it the whole time. He still charged me for "his time". A whole hour of being rude, petty, belittling, and condescending towards me. Do not waste time or money for these self taught, google searching, lazy con artists.

Horrible. would NOT recommend. Did not help what so ever with any of my legal issues. ignored everything i asked for. Treated me like i was being unfair with all my visitation/guardianship issues with my ex. dealt with them many times via email... then all of a sudden they started emailing all documents and important information to the WRONG email. Once charged for all the email fees.. i told them i should not be paying since they started using an incorrect email. they refused to wave any charges.

Once i stopped dealing with them i went to court myself and had everything dealt with no problems. Judge sided with all my request (which lawyers at kay law said would never happen and asked me repeatedly to rethink). THANKS FOR NOTHING
