Despite all the positive comments here, Joyti was consistently unprofessional and disorganized. We used her to purchase a condo through the recommendation of our realtor, which turned out to be a huge mistake and made the process much more stressful than it needed to be.

The issues started when we asked her to review the condo status certificate. She responded that she only reads the summary. There was an ongoing action but Jyoti simply stated that it was not her responsibility to find out more information about this. We ended up having to do this work by ourselves.

At this point, we should have used someone else but we continued to use her because our realtor recommended her. Once our offer was accepted, she was unclear about every step of the closing process and would not ask for the documents she needed until the last second. She also made several mistakes with the closing documents, including an extra $5000 charge (she was unapologetic and claimed that she would have caught it), many typos, inputting wrong phone numbers, and writing the wrong unit number.

Upon closing, we found that there were several deficiencies in the condo but Jyoti had received her fee at this point, so we haven't heard from her again.

I would not recommend her services to anyone.

Edit to response below:
1. You did not speak with the condo corporation manager until our realtor asked you to do so. In fact, you did not respond to many of our questions until she sent the questions again. This response to my review is actually the longest and most well thought out response throughout all of my interactions with you. If you applied this amount of care to your legal work, maybe we would’ve had a better experience.
2. We did not rush you for the documents. I asked you if you would be able to prepare them in time before I went abroad, which you said it would be no problem. When the time came, they were actually not prepared before I left and we still didn’t rush you. Also, regardless of the reason for the mistake in the calculations, you still made a mistake that you did not catch, and we had to tell you the corrected amount. My phone number was provided correctly. You were the one that made the mistake. I will attach the photo. This again just demonstrates the dishonesty and lack of integrity I felt throughout our interactions.

My review is based on my experiences with your services. I used your services because you were recommended by my realtor, and because you had good Google reviews. I would just like others to know my experience with you so they don't make the same mistake.

We used JC Law for our purchase of our very first home as first time home buyers.
Soon after putting in our offer and its acceptance, we went away for a previously booked vacation overseas.
We were advised of every development by email and Whatsapp even during our trip overseas.
In fact, we were supposed to fly back to Toronto 1 day prior to closing and the flight was cancelled in February this year due to heavy snowfall.
We landed in Toronto after the purchase was successfully closed.
Everything was smoothly handled and everything was taken care of, including the first time home buyer rebate.
The legal fees are very reasonable as well.
