My attorney at this firm was hesitant to be my advocate, and as a result, I wasted time and money working with her on my family law case. I would have been more successful self-representing. Both my court application and JCC were procedurally flawed. Apparently I should have done my own legal research and not have trusted my counsel. I will not recommend this firm to anyone I know in Saskatoon. Disappointed.

I plan to follow up with the Law Society of SK and encourage all other 1-star reviews to do so as well.

EDIT: I was more successful self-representing than I was in hiring this firm to represent me. My attorney advised me to walk away from retroactive child support, and I'm glad I trusted my gut and represented myself. Avoid this firm and don't waste your money like I did.

When my son decided to buy his first house, I emailed ALL the lawyers and lawyer’s firms in Saskatoon to get a written and detailed estimate of all their fees. Many firms/lawyers didn’t answer half the questions and many refused to answer any questions by email and refused to give me a written estimate and insisted to discuss about it by phone only (not good). Finally the Saskatoon firm who charged the less and answered all our questions perfectly was Hnatyshyn Gough. They answered all my prepared email questions and Jenny English the Lawyer who took care of us was so good, so nice, so friendly and so professional that we couldn’t believe it and it was the same with the receptionist, both were incredibly efficient and nice and we had nothing to do at all, everything was done for us except for our signatures. We HIGHLY recommend them.

Save yourselves. After a bunch of wasted time through "mediation" I finally had to retain a real lawyer to amend a separation agreement that was full of things we had never discussed. It's a money grab plain and simple. There were one sided questions and suggestions that I as a parent not have my children half of the time?!? I just want to spare anyone else from the waste of money and time that is this law firm and the people who "work" there. Sadly, zero stars is not an option.
