Doug was a decent lawyer to deal with. The rest of the staff leave a lot to be desired. We just went through a nightmare of a situation and used this law firm. We asked to have a promissory note drawn up. That never happened. We had our wills rewritten and had our daughter added as trustee on the title of our house. We were asked for a $500 deposit up front and the balance was due before we left the office. I don’t agree with the $500 up front but whatever. Fair enough. Another situation arose where things were left to the last minute and I had to take time off work to go pay someone else’s water bill in Orillia. After that fire was put out I reached out to them with another urgent matter. One that cost me thousands of dollars. I got radio silence. Meanwhile they have done nothing to get my daughter on our house title. I told them to send me the documents and I will get another lawyer to finish it. So they contacted my wife and stated the reason they haven’t got the trustee documents completed is because they don’t have my daughter’s contact information. If that were true it shows incompetence on their part. But they had the information. They are frustratingly unorganized. It’s bad enough we have been caught in the middle of something that was as life altering as our situation has been. But to be ignored when you need them the most is such a disappointment. I don’t want to get into the ugly details of our situation but I will end with one sentence. Think twice before co-signing a mortgage even if it’s for one of your children.

I find it almost comical that you have any 5 Star reviews but I guess good friends and family came through for your office. I would caution anyone using HMH Law Offices to steer clear of this Law Office and skip the 5 star reviews. Take the time to review the negative reviews. These negative reviews are the most accurate reviews on google and truly represent the laziness and unprofessionalism experienced.
I am now using my maiden name which is why you don't have record of me there. The lawyer was Douglas J. Hill who represented us and very poorly. I'm not interested in discussing this with you or your office. Your mistake cost me dearly. I won't make the same mistake again.
