The journey with this venue was a long and complicated one.
Overall, the actual wedding itself was amazing and we were happy with how the wedding turned out. That being said, this venue has a lot of growing to do in the wedding industry.

When we went with this venue there was an Event Coordinator that gave us the upmost confidence in their ability to support us with this venue, she was amazing and quick to respond and provided lots of information which was later contradicted. We found out she no longer worked at this venue when we submitted a question and got a response from someone else who worked for a company that owned Heritage Pointe but did not work directly with Heritage Pointe. When we asked about the event coordinator position, we were told they have not made any decisions on timelines to replace this position. (Spoiler they never replaced the position). Communicating with the new person was not terrible, they responded promptly but some of their responses added extra stress to the wedding planning process. Eventually this person passed us off to the new manager at Heritage Pointe Golf Club. When we confirmed details with the new manager some things had changed, and we are now 4-3 weeks out from the wedding. This prompted a in-person meeting where I had to bring pervious emails where these things had been discussed. The new manager was amazing and very understanding toward the situation, if it wasn’t for her, I feel our experience with this venue would not have been a good one.

Things to note if you are hoping to use this venue:
• The food is amazing, we have received to so much positive feedback regarding the food.
• The chairs provided by the venue are extremely ugly (you can see in the photos) and they charge 5$ per white cover. (you can see in one of the photos what they look like without the cover also ugly) – would recommend renting chairs from elsewhere.
• Location is beautiful, and very peaceful.
• Great for photos – they brought my husband and I around the golf course in a golf cart, so we did not have to walk to locations. Also the inside of the golf club has a very nice fireplace and staircase that we used for photos.
• They used a golf cart to transport our guests to a from the further parking lots.
• We did not sign a formal contract with this venue at the time I didn’t think anything of it but I would recommend having them sign a formal documentation on what was agreed upon at the time of selecting them to ensure nothing changes to the packages you have selected.
o Also be aware the ‘Unlimited Wine Service’ during dinner in their Elegance package is only unlimited for the wedding party and not for all the guests - this was not disclosed to us prior to the wedding.
• We had 82 people attend our wedding and comfortably fit into their two event rooms that is cut off from their restaurant area to make it a more private function.
• The waiting staff and bar staff were lovely and speedy.

Overall, I would recommend this venue as we had a beautiful wedding and even with the rocky road it took to get to the wedding, we had no regrets about selecting this venue. Again, the new manager there is wonderful to work with and made our wedding day go smoothly and exactly how we pictured it.

We just had our wedding here and cannot have asked for a better experience. A special thank you to Penelope and the food and beverage staff. You were all very accommodating and made our day easy. The food was amazing. Our photos on the golf course were incredibly beautiful!

Amazing venue. Clubhouse is excellent. Staff in pro shop are both knowledgeable and engaging.

3 practice holes and free driving range are included with your round. Really top off what is an exciting golf experience, every single time.

Course is in pristine condition. Challenging. Beautiful. Altogether, the very best golf experience in and around Calgary.

Love when I get a chance to hit the links here. Will be golfing here more frequently next season, without a doubt.

I can’t say enough good things about our experience hosting our 27-hole tournament here! The entire team is incredibly friendly and professional, making every aspect of our intricate tournament run seamlessly.

From start to finish, everything goes off without a hitch, and we receive countless compliments from golfers about the organization and atmosphere. The team is fantastic at setting up activities at every hole, ensuring everyone is out on time and having a great experience.

We've been hosting our tournament here for many years, and we can't wait to return in 2025! Highly recommend this venue for any event—you won't be disappointed! 🏌️‍♂️🎉

Heritage Pointe hosted our wedding Sept 21st 2024. It could not of gone better! The food and beverage manager Penelope was so great. She went above and beyond to make sure our special day went flawless. The Heritage Pointe team setup up all our decor, took everything down, ensured everything was on time, and everything looked beautiful. The food was amazing, the bar service was quick, and everything we asked for was done. We could not recommend working with Penelope and hosting your wedding at Heritage Pointe enough!

It was an absolute pleasure working with the team at Heritage Pointe for our Annual Golf Tournament. They were proactive, responsive, and incredibly organized, making the experience truly stress-free despite the scale of the event. Golfed the Dessert/Heritage combo. Beautiful course with stunning views. Very friendly staff. Very yummy food and drinks after the game. Only 4 stars this time as driving range was closed for construction of Launch Pad. Looking forward to visiting again when construction is complete.

Have played this course many times as it’s fun and challenging, but only a handful of times for the 2024 season. There seems to be a trend of running out of carts - which are starting to show their miles, and course conditions could improve although, it largely depends on the day. Sloped and chewed up tee boxes where there’s more divot than grass and greens covered in unfixed or now dead pitch marks were on quite a few of holes on my rounds. Some portions of the cart path are also due for a repave. Very friendly and accommodating staff and a nice club house with great selection. Would love to see conditions improve for the more premium cost of a round.
