Green Emerald Construction built our home in a new development in Sicamous. We absolutely love our home and neighborhood. The house was constructed with SIP walls and retains it's coolness in the summer and warmth in the winter. We have spacious rooms and equally spacious halls and doorways. Gary and Shane gave us ideas and asked for our contributions at all times. We were able to reach out to either of them at any time, and they would answer the call (if not, they returned our calls within 24 hours). They were also able to return to fix a couple of minor issues and they always take the time for a personal chat. We wish them all the best and highly recommend their services. We just installed a couple of drop ceilings for Shane on one of his small renovations. From a subcontractors point of view, Shane was awesome to deal with. He was responsive with any questions, and easy to talk though any problems or "job conditions" with. I was on site to see his interactions with the home owner and was very impressed. He was calm, patient and always had a smile. I look forward to hopefully doing more work along side Shane and his team.

Here is a review we have just received from some of our wonderful clients:

Building a custom home with Green Emerald was a first for us. We had never designed and built a custom home before and had never lived in the Shuswap region before. We placed our trust in Green Emerald Construction and 12 months later, we had a beautiful, quality built, forever home. Gary and Marilla were terrific to work with. Impressively, they answered their phones and shared their expertise with patience and friendliness. Their ideas and advice proved sound and have added to the enjoyment of our home.

We are particularly happy with the Structural Insulated Panels (SIP) that were used in the building of our home. We can feel the difference between our house and a frame constructed house. Our SIP built home feels more cozy and comfortable. Previously, we lived in a 1487 square foot rancher on a crawl space on the West Coast. Our current house built with SIP construction is 3482 square feet with a basement and many large windows. I compared the gas bills from each home over a period of 8 months. Six of the eight months we paid less for gas here in the Shuswap than we did for our smaller timber framed house on the coast. (The shoulder months were more expensive here in the Shuswap than on the coast as winter came sooner and lasted longer.)

I am thrilled that Green Emerald uses SIP and that it has made such a happy difference in our heating costs. I would recommend to everyone who is building a home in Canada to use SIP construction.
