I am exceptionally pleased with my experience in working with Karine Jackson. She supported me through a high conflict divorce. I truly believe that her organization, experience, availability and integrity helped me feel supported through this difficult process. Went to meet a lawyer on September 29th, presented him with 1 sure case and 2 potential others. He has not contacted us at all. He told us we would not be disappointed because he's excellent at doing research.

However, every question we presented to him, he had no answer and had to consult with colleagues.

Very unprofessional and insulting.

Just noticed they do not comment on negative reviews. Shame on you.

I have recently had the pleasure to work the Karine Jackson at the GVE Law office. She made what was an unpleasant situation into an encouraging and more pleasant one. I felt comforted and supported throughout the entire process. She is personable, friendly, highly knowledgeable and with that, she gave me the confidence to march through the process with ease. Sold and bought a house recently and used Grandmaitre Virgo Evans as our lawyers as they were close to where we live and recommended by our realtor. First, we didn't get the funds from the sale of our house until nearly 2 days after closing by which time the new owners had already moved in. Second, they made a clerical mistake which my husband and I actually had to point out to them (they hadn't noticed their mistake but thankfully for them my husband and I are honest people). We ended up having to give them back 11,000$ which they had paid us too much. I  then had to go myself to the bank not once but twice to write them a cashier's cheque because they didn't give me the correct name the first time. Being nearly 9 months pregnant with high blood pressure and preeclampsia and having to run back and forth in middle of summer was not  what I had expected to do when I hired the law firm. Third, after all of this they were supposed to apologize and get word from the head of the firm about looking into the situation and maybe giving us a part of our fee back as compensation. They had their admin assistant answer our calls saying first they had to wait for the head of their firm to look into it, then our own lawyer had to deal with it. This phone tag lasted 2 weeks before I gave up, finding it too taxing at that point and after having left multiple messages. So no, I wouldn't recommend or touch this law firm with a 10 foot pole so to speak. Do yourself a  favour and for someone who knows what they're doing even if they are a bit further from your house.

I'm incredibly upset that Brad Evans took advantage of my elderly aunt. She had explained her family situation by voicemail, then by phone and again during an in-person meeting yet he kept derailing the topic, asking her unrelated questions about her house value, bank accounts, investments, etc. He even went as far as asking if he could Google her private home! She never made any suggestions about writing up a will with him (because she already has one) but turns out that's what he was trying to get out of her. When she put him back on topic, he told her she was going to need a family lawyer... Well, that's why she contacted your law firm, Brad. If he couldn't have helped her, he should have referred her to someone who could and should never have booked a meeting with her. This elderly woman met with him under the pretense that he would help her, but Brad thought only of his own interest. $450/hour he charges to waste her time. It was so uncomfortable that she had to leave before the hour was up and she told us she left having learned nothing. I'm both enraged and shocked at his unjust and misrepresented service.
