I had a very disappointing experience with this law firm. I was involved in a serious accident about 8 years ago as a pedestrian who was hit by a drunk driver. At that time, I was an international student and new to Canada, so I didn’t know much about the accident benefits or settlement process.

Unfortunately, throughout my entire claim, no one from this office properly explained anything to me not how the process works, what insurance examinations are, or how the settlement would be handled. I never once received a call from a lawyer to guide me or check in on my case. The first and only time I saw my lawyer in person was on the day of settlement.

Now that I work in the insurance industry myself, I realize how poorly my claim was handled. It seems no real effort was made on my file. From my final settlement, a large portion of the funds was deducted for reports, assessments, and documentation fees leaving me with less than 30% of the total amount.

Overall, I feel extremely let down by how this firm handled my case. I would strongly advise others, especially newcomers or students, to look for a lawyer who will communicate clearly, explain the process, and truly advocate for your best interests.

I engaged the services of this law firm following a phone call regarding my accident, and Sadique R. Alexander was assigned as my solicitor. Unfortunately, my experience has been highly unsatisfactory due to consistent unresponsiveness and lack of communication.

From the outset, I had to send multiple emails before receiving any response regarding case updates. After signing the initial contract sign document, there was no communication from the firm for two weeks, forcing me to reach out for updates. Mr. Alexander responded only after repeated emails, promising to contact me, but no follow-up was provided. Weeks later, I again inquired about progress, only to be met with no response for several days.

I strongly advise others to consider alternative legal representation, as this firm has failed to demonstrate professionalism or accountability.

After posting my review, two weeks later, lawyer Tally Vanounou called me to confront me about it. Instead of addressing my concerns, she patronized me, excusing the firm’s slow communication by saying “this is how the legal system works.” (This is not my first time hiring a lawyer, and I have never experienced communication issues like this with other firms.)

She insisted my review was a “misreading,” so I offered to send her proof with emails. Her response? “Is this really important for you?” rather than acknowledging the facts, she said I was illusioned instead of being apologetic or even open to reviewing the evidence.

I have never encountered such an entitled and unprofessional attitude from a lawyer. I will make sure that no one around me ever goes through this firm.
