1 star is too much for the arrogant David V. (server) at Forest City.
Extremely unprofessional experience. After the court rejected an affidavit due to non-compliance with basic service rules, the process server became defensive, condescending, and ultimately retaliated by closing our account — instead of simply correcting their error. As a self-identified “lawyer,” one would expect a better understanding of the Rules and a higher standard of professionalism. We will not be using or recommending this company again

The court’s rejection of the affidavit makes it clear: your service did not comply with the Rules, regardless of your attempts to shift blame like the bottom of your response. Whether you’re a law grad or not is irrelevant — the service we paid for did not meet the court’s requirements. Instead of taking responsibility and correcting the issue, you responded with a condescending attitude and closed our account.

Your message included the following statement:

“I have a law degree, am a prospective member of the Law Society of Ontario scheduled to be called to the bar in thirty days, and I have been in this industry for nearly a decade. I am familiar with the requirements of service pursuant to various regulations across the country, including the Rules of the Small Claims Court in Ontario. I do not need a briefing from someone in accounts receivable about how the court applies its regulations.”

This response speaks volumes about the tone and attitude we encountered. It’s dismissive, needlessly personal, and entirely unprofessional — especially when directed at a client whose concern stemmed from a court’s formal rejection of your work.

It’s nothing personal. Our review is based solely on the service provided and how the situation was handled. Credentials don’t excuse condescension, and a decade in the industry should come with the ability to accept feedback and correct mistakes without resorting to defensiveness.

Offering a supplemental affidavit after the fact did not resolve the issue or recover the time lost.

This was not just a disappointing experience — it was an unacceptable failure in service, professionalism, and accountability. We stand firmly by our review and will continue to caution others against relying on this company.
