AWFUL SERVICE! I engaged James at Fitch Violande Warcop, Barristers and Solicitors for the third time to handle a real estate deal, hoping for a smooth experience given our previous interactions. Unfortunately, my recent encounter left much to be desired. Despite clear instructions to delay document submission for review due to mortgage instructions not being followed correctly, they were submitted prematurely, resulting in additional charges and unnecessary complications. Communication lapses extended to failing to inform my mortgage broker about a delayed closing, causing further inconvenience and almost costing me to lose my house.

What's more, when seeking clarification on why my mortgage broker wasn't notified about the extension of the deal and closing due to missing funds, I was met with unprofessionalism. Cynthia, an assistant, abruptly ended our call, hanging up on me, leaving me frustrated and without answers.

Accountability for these mistakes was lacking, and resolving issues incurred additional time and resources on my end. While I appreciate the opportunity to provide feedback, I'm disappointed by the overall handling of the situation. I urge the firm to implement measures to prevent such occurrences in the future. Moreover, the firm's denial of responsibility for poor representation and failure to review my documents further diminishes my trust and confidence in their services. Regrettably, I will not be returning for future business, and would advise others dealing with real estate transactions to NOT deal with James Violande, proving to be untrustworthy of professionalism.

Furthermore, paralegal deemed it acceptable to investigate my current boyfriend's social media activity and inform my parents that he was listed somewhere with another partner, who is not me. It is evident that the photo she referred to is from years ago. I am extremely shocked by her continued unprofessionalism.

Very bad experience with James. I wasted a lot of money here and had to terminate services after paying a large sum of money. Seems very junior and did not do well with communication, case strategy or advocacy. Save your time and money and go elsewhere unless it’s a parking ticket you need representation for, even then, I personally wouldn’t. The administrative staff at the front desk and Robin were always very friendly.

Nick Fitch is an outstanding for family law and criminal defense counsel. He is fair, honest, direct, and has a good understanding of how to navigate the legal system and argue for his client. He is very fairly priced for the quality of service he can provide. Lots of lawyers get a bad rap but he was straightforward always and even chose not to charge me for many of the phone calls and text advice he had given me over the years.

This should be a zero star review. My case was accepted and I met with Mark Wells one time.
My spouse and I were the ones who wrote the affidavit, we did all the paperwork. He did nothing at all.
Then via voice-mail he said he was leaving his job to move to a different province. He assured me that one of his colleagues would take my case.
3 days after that he called and very curtly informed me that no, no one else would take my case. I got a good luck and he hung up the phone.
