I engaged Colette Fortin and her team at Fairway in 2021 to help me and my former spouse navigate our separation. What I loved about their process was having a series of defined conversations and clear steps to complete which allowed us to journey through what is otherwise an incredibly arduous and emotional experience.... with as much respect and the least amount of drama as possible. Honestly, if it weren't for the Fairway Divorce process, I would likely have given up waaay to much in negotiations and lived to regret for many years. Or worse! It's taken me a year to write this review as I needed to put some distance between myself and the separation process as a whole.

That said, I can't thank Fairway enough for their expertise, support and guidance along the way. My ex and I had every intention of remaining friendly to facilitate effective ongoing co-parenting. While the two of us are ultimately responsible for working together to make that happen, both Sarah and Colette were instrumental in setting us on that path.

The Fairway process is compassionate and well thought out, giving couples what they need to navigate their own unique separation circumstances in logical, manageable pieces. Not once did I ever feel as though we were being led toward a resolution on any point that left either one of us dissatisfied and would result in further conflict (as you often hear about happening, when lawyers are involved); in fact, we were in the driver's seat the entire time, with Fairway there to support and guide us, advising us on the finer points of separation agreements/divorce law.

Today, my ex and I have a constructive and pleasant relationship as co-parents and our kids have adjusted well to our new way of life. Without a doubt, Fairway has played an important role in all of this.

Julie and her team helped myself and my wife through an extremely difficult time as we were going through our separation. They stayed neutral and professional throughout the entire mediation process, while also showing compassion and understanding throughout the 3 1/2 months that we worked with them.

Julie and her team were very flexible with scheduling meetings, and worked diligently to get everything finalized ahead of the closing of the sale of our house. Their fee was very fair and was far less than we would have spent if we had gotten lawyers involved.

While drafting the separation agreement felt like a bit of a tedious process at times, it led to a lot of very productive discussions between myself and my ex, and got us off on the right foot as we went our separate ways and began the journey of living apart and co-parenting our 2 children.

After 8 months of living apart and co-parenting our children, my ex and I have maintained a great relationship, and have followed a lot of the guiding principles and advice that we received from Fairway during the mediation process.

I honestly don't think that we would be in this position without the help and services from Fairway Divorce to help us navigate through our separation.

I don't wish divorce on anyone, but if there was anyone that I knew that was separating from their spouse, I would immediately recommend Fairway Divorce Solutions as a service to help make the exercise as painless and productive as possible.

No one gets married thinking it will end in separation and divorce and although this process was truly one of the most emotionally challenging seasons I've had in a long time, Im very grateful to have had Mike with us along the journey to help give us resources, mediate through emotionally heavy conversations and guide us. Everyone at Fairway was kind and gracious with my hurting heart, from my initial call to the office with Michael to being paired with Mike as our mediator.
Mike was knowledgeable, incredibly patient, kind, understanding, relatable, and someone I felt I could trust. He guided our process and ensured the agreement was fair for both of us, even having to rewrite things along the way due to changing circumstances. Our process became far longer than anticipated and Mike never once made us feel bad, but instead gently guided us along the way. Separation from a partner where kids are involved is truly a difficult and painful process, particularly when the two parties are at different points of acceptance and/or the path forward.

Julie put in a lot of effort with my ex and I over many months to get us to a mutually agreeable resolution. In my case, I appreciated the empathy, patience, and humanity that Julie showed through the process as I struggled with a lot of it. I was certainly way outside my comfort zone and at a low point emotionally with these proceedings. However, I'm fully aware that the separation experience could have been far nastier and more challenging, so I'm thankful for Julie's assistance in steering us through the difficulties of this process.

While I don't wish separation on anyone, if it is a reality for you I would definitely recommend connecting with Julie to at least help guide you through it and to improve your chances of having an amicable relationship with your ex coming out the other side.

Colette's straightforward approach and positive attitude made an inherently stressful situation as simple as it could have been. I was incredibly impressed with how efficiently Fairway Divorce Solutions was able to create a Resolution Plan, as we used their fast track method to ensure the financial matters could be handled as quickly as possible. With having all the financial details ready for the initial meeting and Colette mediating the family plan details we were able to have a draft of the Resolution Plan within a month of the initial meeting, and with the helpful recommendation for Lawyers who have worked with Fairway Divorce Solutions often, the separation agreement was finalized in less than a month.
