Highly professional, extensive knowledge of the Landlord tenant act. I've used their service with exceptional success. Landlord tenant lawyer was terrific. My only greivence is for all Elgin county their is only one lawyer. How can the provincial government expect Ms. Dempsey to help all in need. Because of her heavy workload she could not represent me in court. I am still awaiting a verdict. If my 7yr old n I are evicted I blame the government for not enough funding to provide free or low cost council for those in need. My case is not for non payment of rent but being a layman I didn't know proper terminology to express my position.

Elgin Oxford Legal Clinic is an excellent resource for low income people to seek help with landlord tenant matters ,Ontario Works and ODSP among other non criminal related legal matters. If you live in Oxford or Elgin County and have been denied on your application for ODSP and want to appeal the decision then this is the place to go. They will represent/handle your appeal for you. All they ask in return is that if you win your appeal that you reimburse them their expenses. A voluntary donation over and above expenses is greatly appreciated as well. Many people actually give them between a 5-10 % donation over and above expenses since when you win your back pay can amount to a good amount and if you consider what a lawyer would have cost you to do this for you. Great service and remember they are a non profit agency supported purely by donations.
