I transferred from 1 lawyer to Daniel and it was the best decision I ever made. Daniel was very attentive and made me fell that I was his only Client. Both Daniel and Charity responded to emails, phone calls very promptly, even just to advise me that they are working on the issue and will contact me when having updates. Daniel was amazing in handling the rest of my agreement in a timely manner and not allowing it to be dragged on for months and years as I had previously experienced. I would highly recommend Daniel for your legal requirements. He was phenomenal!! I can't say enough about my positive experience.

5 stars for Caitlin for estate planning. She is awesome - Very friendly, professional, thoroughly explains all things and answers all questions to make you feel very comfortable and confident in making important decisions. I would HIGHLY recommend her, which is why I decided to use Dunsmuir and Ridler again for my real estate closing. Unfortunately the experience with Carolyn was less than satisfactory.

When we met with her, she barely even introduced herself. When we asked her questions about some of our concerns it seemed like pulling teeth to get an answer from her. She gave minimal answers and seemed like she did not even want to speak to us. I found her demeanour very dismissive and unfriendly.

After our closing neither Carolyn or her assistant told us anything.This was our first home purchase so we don't know how anything works. Several weeks later I realized that we didn't get our final bill and I wondered about when/how we would get our deed and documents. I called the office and someone told me that I would get it in a month or so, again - no real communication. I also realized that the lawyer never arranged for me to get my mail key which should have been given to me along with my house keys, so we need to have Canada Post change the locks now which is rather annoying.

We had entertained using other law firms for our real estate closing but chose Dunsmuir & Ridler despite them having given us a higher quote than two other places because we thought the service we would get would be up to par with the service we got from Caitlin for estate planning. It was not.

I should add that Margaret at the front desk is very friendly and professional as well. I will still use Caitlin for more estate planning in the future and I highly recommend her. Unfortunately I would not recommend them or use them again for anything related to real estate.

They worked diligently (even through the holidays) to expedite a quick sale purchase, they answered all my questions, they utilized digital meeting and secure signing platforms to accommodate my schedule, and they ensured that post-close issues with appliances not working were resolved quickly and fairly.
