I would not recommend this firm. If you're paying out of pocket, sure. They accept legal aid and then act as the most ineffective lawyers you could ever find. I'm sure they think it's a joke that they don't ever contact you or keep you up to date, then make thier clients look bad, and rather than communicate with them their possible outcomes, remand until you give in, should be their motto. Your mental health? Not a concern with them, no compassion or empathy at all. There are WAY more reputable firms, I would never suggest this one!

Have had positive experiences in the past with this law firm until my last dealings with their partner Shane Miles.

To start off on a positive Shane Miles seems very knowledgable and has great interpersonal skills in person while meeting with him for appointments. Some negative things I have experienced it myself and now heard from other lawyers and people who have dealt with this lawyer and seems to have somewhat of a consistent reputation. For example Shane will terminate the client relationship and then reports to the judge that the client fired the lawyer (Shane) which made the judge not too happy with the defendant which seemed sketchy that the lawyer would place his decision and blame onto the client. Highly recommend the 2 Mr. diepietros and Mr. Scott but experience with their partner Shane Miles was subpar compared to the rest of the partners for variety of reasons (lack of communication post court dates, lack of ability to instil confidence in the client for plan of action for tackling a case whether something should be brought to trial or if other measures should be taken, and as mentioned before is willing to provide a false statement to the judge placing blame on his client to possibly avoid himself being chastised by the judge/crown for his own decisions.

It is possible this is a one off situation but have heard some consistent complaints about Shane even from other lawyers within the city of Windsor.

Dipietro jr is a great and friendly lawyer and was very respectful through out my whole court case.. but i do wish he could of done more for me n went against the crown a little more but other than that hes a great lawyer
