Took 2 1/2 years to probate a simple (bank accounts only) will. 4 months before the first meeting. Likes to take his time doing anything. Absolutely regrettable experience.

Horrendous Experience. Thousands of dollars spent to resolve an estate issue that was never finished. Ended up losing a mobile home, a car, and thousands of dollars. We ran out of cash after several years of sending him money, and not getting any results. We wished to sell the property to pay off all debts. The issue was not resolved, ownership was not transferred, and the property was lost. Then he had the audacity to send the remaining balance to courts. He did not provide any services for us. We received nothing from him, and lost everything. Way to take advantage of a young girl who's mother died suddenly and needed help to sort the debacle out. Derek Mcmanus, in my humble opinion, is the lowest form of human scum. Do not give him your business. Ever wonder why there's a negative stigma towards lawyers? This is guys is one of those reasons.

I made a mistake not reading the reviews before I contracted Mr. McManus to write a will for me. Had I done that I would have never even gotten close to his office. I ended up not getting the will done and losing the down payment I made. One star is quite an overrating for the man in my view.
