Nice people. The lawyer takes care of almost everything for you, but the family courts are slow moving in a "addressing the matter" kind of sense.

At legal aid they discriminate against working class.
If you have a education they will quickly skip threw your info and make up some b.s. and say they cant help you.
Doesn't matter if children are involved, they stand up against cps to put kids in danger.

O my goodness, one of the female lawyers there, is The biggest C U Next Tuesday I've ever met in my entire life. As is her secretary.
She flat out wasn't on my side, was acting like the prosecutions lawyer, called me a liar, refused to take my phonecalls, gave me snotty attitutde, and then refused to be my lawyer.
She said it was because I was crying in her offices, I mentioned to her coworker that I was being forced to plead guilty, and said a curse word.
Worst experience of my life, cannot believe they're government employees and allowed to treat the public this way.
Made an already traumatizing experience so much worse.
She's the most insensitive person I've ever met. Which is odd, because she specializes in mental health law.

I had a terrible experience with legal aid lawyers, half the time my lawyer never even showed up to court and then cancel Court. and she didn't care about me as a person and what I went through.
It's the worst kind of legal representation for any woman to go through in this city of Dartmouth with no support from the legal system. women beaters get away with beating up women and stealing their money. You might as well just take the beating from your ex-husband because the lawyers at legal aid have no sympathy for women who have gone through misogynist relationships.

They've overlooked so many details especially when you feel fill out your application to get help they neglected to tell me I was at the criminal office rather than the family office and that made the process drag on don't have very much faith in the system

I thought the pictou county office was bad..they have NOTHING on THIS office...and as far as cps is concerned they work for them
