WARNING: I had a very bad experience with Mr. Ken Byers. Don’t waste your precious time and money on this firm. I hired Mr. Ken Byers to handle my family violence case. He assured me that we would achieve the best results, but it has now been a more than year since I hired him, and I have not seen any positive outcomes. Eventually, I had to let him go.

Mr. Byers never attempted to resolve the case through negotiation. He took over $8,000 from me without delivering any results. He rarely answered my calls and often did not call back. Despite being a senior lawyer, he did not demonstrate the competence I expected; he never assured me that he would do his best to win the case or secure a favorable deal. Instead, he seemed to be more interested in extracting more money from me.

I was frustrated with his lack of understanding of my pain and suffering. It felt as though his intention was to prolong the case until trial in order to make more money, without any guarantee that he would put forth his best effort. He often intimidated me by saying I might face deportation or a jail term. I hired you, Mr. Ken Byers, and paid you to help me, not to instill fear. Did you perform your job fairly and honestly?

Communication was also a major issue; I received no updates after each discussion with the crown. His secretary sent only brief messages, which were insufficient when I repeatedly asked for clarity. My case was also handled by Mr. Mark Byers for a few weeks, and he too disappointed me.

They never provided me with the invoice in a timely manner for the work Mr. Byers did. I received an invoice with no clarity on the number of hours spent on each task.

This firm does not care about people; they only seem to want money. Please, do not take their services. This firm will ruin your time, money, and life.

Ken was able to get ALL the charges dropped and allowed me to walk away with no criminal record. During my first consultation Ken listened and proposed a defense strategy to get the charges withdrawn and he delivered! Ken charged a little more than what other lawyers had quoted but as with most things, you get what you pay for. I am very satisfied with Ken’s services and the results he delivered.
