Before walking into Courtyard Law Offices I was apprehensive and filled with anxiety about the whole divorce process. Within 5 minutes of meeting Bill Clarke I was feeling at ease. His friendly, personable, honest and blunt approach was a perfect fit for me. I left his office that day feeling like Bill was going to have my back and make sure that I was going to get what I deserved and worked so hard for during my 16 year marriage. I officially signed my mediation paperwork last week with a very successful outcome. I’m so grateful to Bill and his team for guiding me through the process and being a constant source of support. I am writing this review much later than anticipated or planned, due in part to life matters and the Global Crisis we all currently see ourselves surrounded in at present.
I was very fortunate to retain the services of Mr. William T. (Bill) Clarke and his exceptionally skilled, professional, and courteous Staff at Courtyard Law just over two years ago. From the moment I first walked into their Office I was met with a very understanding, organized and informative front office staff member named Renee. She immediately put me at ease and went right to work preparing me for my meeting with Bill. I’ll be truthfully honest and admit that to the best of my knowledge very few Individuals I’ve known or met, that have had dealings with their lawyers, ever openly admit that it was joyful experience, however, in my case, I exited my first meeting at Courtyard Law with an overwhelmingly positive overview about what the next year or two would bring.
As has been mentioned in previous reviews, Bill brings to his profession, a wealth of legal knowledge on Family Law that comes from a dedicated lengthy career serving those clients in need of his expertise. Coupled with that he has served on the “other side of the bench” gaining immeasurable knowledge as a Courtroom Judge...
Throughout my almost two year process, I was always kept up to date on how things were progressing and where my case was headed, not only from Bill, but from the rest of the Legal Staff at Courtyard Law. Bill spends much of his time in the courtroom, litigating and providing for his clients, leaving his office staff to provide the necessary updates when required. Of particular mention, his Legal Assistant Debbie Ross, was always available when questions arose, or situations warranted, providing the necessary additional professional and legal direction with my case.
The end result had a positive outcome and overall was a very positive experience in a not so positive situation.
I credit all of that to the Staff at Courtyard Law and the expertise in Family Law of Mr. William T. (Bill) Clarke!
Bill is very passionate about his chosen career in Law, and it shows in his dedication to his clients, not only during the legal process, but also on a follow-up basis with his clients post-process.

Where do I start? Bill Clarke has been my lawyer for almost 20 years, I cant say enough about this brilliant man. Bill and the team at Courtyard Law have been looking after me for a long and complicated 10.5 years and I cannot thank them enough for the incredible work they have done for me and my family. I remember the first conversation I had with Bill and feeling like I had been put in good hands right away and every day after. I was young and very scared at the start and he was very patient with me and welcomed my support people into his office with me. He was kind when he needed to be, brutally honest when it was appropriate and always guided me in the best direction to help me look after my children. Whenever I didn't understand the language, direction or anything at all, I always felt safe to ask him directly and he would make sure I understood everything completely, and felt prepared myself, every step of the way. We spent time in court and while I watched him do his thing in the courtroom, it only solidified my trust in him. I have never felt as though Bill was anything but extremely well prepared, efficient and timely, and do have the contrasting experience of dealing with other lawyers who are quite the opposite. My money has never felt wasted, only well invested in my childrens well being.

Renee and Debbie, his receptionist and assistant, have become two more people whom I admire and am so very grateful for. Somehow they made a painful process so much less so with their caring personalities and warm smiles at each and every phone call and meeting.

Yesterday I got to sit down for the last time as I signed the agreement that we have worked so long and hard for and I'll be grateful for this team for the rest of my life! I have always and will always recommend Bill at Courtyard Law to my friends and family.

Thank you Bill, for giving us our family back. Are you in a sticky situation, and need help immediately? Bill is your guy!!

My partner was served with “without notice papers”, that outlined we needed to bring my partner’s daughter back to her mother by a certain date and time, or the police could come in and remove her themselves. This was the most terrifying thing to be served, and it landed us in a mess. In the first meeting with Bill, both my partner and I felt a lot better, and that the world wasn’t going to end on that day. Bill was beyond honest, but also kind and empathetic with us the whole way through the process, regarding our mistakes; as well as, the cost for the time with him as a lawyer. Honesty is the best thing to be set up for success in your case. We now understand what we did wrong, and how to act in future situations. As well, we didn’t break the bank, or spend our life savings on this case. Bill was very honest in telling us what would cost us, and how we could save money in the case. Bill was very honest in explaining the difference in Supreme Court, as well as Provincial Court, and what you will benefit from choosing.
Bill wasted NO TIME. As usual, we expected to wait until the court hearing before seeing my partner’s daughter again, and we will have waited less than 2 weeks, before the entire mess was cleaned up and the matter was settled. Not to mention, victory was ours, and we left the court room with more than we ever expected.
If you love your child, and you are not being treated fairly by your ex, or if you have gotten yourself in a less than ideal, or scary situation—BILL IS YOUR MAN!!
We will be using Bill again, in all our family matters.

I can not say enough about this law office they where there with me every step of the way. Bill Clark was an amazing lawyer and he was always there for me every step of the way, he was always upfront with me. He was my voice of reason. Bill would always give me the straight honest answers, sometimes it was painful to hear, he also gave me me the worst case scenarios in terms of how much cost would be and how long proceedings could be.
