Court Runner (love the name :)) is extraordinarily efficient and effective. We needed court documents to be served on someone who has been notoriously difficult to serve in the past. We contacted Court Runner yesterday morning, all queries were answered promptly; we were able to provide the docs on line, and today we received the Affidavit of Service, which they will file with the court on our behalf. First time filing a small claim. The process is supposed to be easy but actually is more complicated and time consuming than I thought. However, the easiest part, which I am extremely grateful for, was finding courtrunner.ca to serve the claim. I called in and got a quote for the process server (note the cost is based on location of where it needs to be served). I was easily able to upload the claim on their website and paid the fee online. The next steps were not very clear and I wasn't sure when the claim would be served (the FAQ did not mention that an email would be sent when the claim was filed). But I followed up with an email and got a response from their assistant timely about the status. Today I got an email saying the claim was filed. They will file the affidavit with the court that the claim was served at no charge but want you to write a google review first, which is fine as I am truly happy with their service.
