I'll begin by saying that not all bad rating are true and not all good rating are true. I must say that all the staff are wonderful here. From my experience with everyone working at Milton Ontario court house has been nothing but pleasant. One particular time It was right before closing time and one young lady who I won't mention her name out of respect of privacy helped me above and beyond. Simply put she saved me a whole lot of headaches by helping me filling everything at once. I am still in court and hopefully reaching towards the end.

Thank you!

My experience has been nothing but great and friendly. I had to go into file some court papers and even made an appearance in court. The staff and Judge were extremely kind and informative.

Don’t expect justice at this courthouse, I have a Justice MacPhail, who lied as a matter of record, to protect the named defendants, since the defendants are a Ministry of Ontario, MCCSS, and a Ministry Service Provider, Accerta Service Corp. These Oral Health Providers left me to die of Oral Sepsis, Cellulites, roots of teeth exposed into sinus cavity. Leaving one as such is illegal and immoral when there is a treatment plan denied due to cost. It took me three years to obtain my transcripts of hearings. In a pre enquete hearing, I told Justice MacPhail that he is biased in my claim as he gave me the lame excuse that I was left to die due to budgets during the intake meeting. He denied this statement, and then challenged me to obtain intake transcripts. I am unable to get this transcript as I was told many lies including it was lost due to the move from SCJ Milton to Burlington and back again. Ultimately, I am now told that this transcript is locked away in an evidence room and no one is allowed access. I have my own recording and Justice MacPhail stated, “due to budgets and allocations.” Eventually, I was promised a criminal trial in this claim. Via an endorsement, Justice Mills agreed with all I claimed, the illness, suffering, the fact that I never had an opportunity to present fulsome evidence in a pre enquete trial. Ultimately, she stated that my claim was better suited in a Civil court, what happened to me is criminal. Justice Cloutier stayed a private information I was giving when I had the absolute proof with me. Just because you cannot win a criminal claim, doesn’t give you the right to not hear it. At this courthouse Malfeasance, Perjury, and Obstruction of Justice have occurred. Where is my recompense for; pain/suffering loss of career, income, CPP contributions, investments, etc. I could be employed now as an Insurance Broker with being made whole. Halton Regional Police need to be involved.

A very bad service, never answer the call and add more stress to already stressed and tired people, the IVR is very bad and recorded in a very low quality, if you do not have people to answer, then just eliminate these options. Court houses are made to help people in need and not to humiliate them. ,

If you can avoid using the Milton court house, please do. I submitted court documents for a breach of contract, nearly a year ago. But the Milton court house lost my documents. After paying for a lawyer to notarize it, and then being told to wait for a court file number. I come to find out, after months of trying to get answers, that the woman who lost my documents should’ve, “been fired” and that it was human error. I’d have to resubmit, and once again pay a lawyer, and wait. Considering my documents are time sensitive, as well as it’s severely personal documents, it’s very concerning. After resubmitting through the court house, I’ve once again, had my documents lost, but come out with a court number. The people that work here, seem to be severely incompetent, and it’s nearly impossible to reach anyone. For your sake, and the sake of getting anything done correctly, do not use their services. They do not care about you.

Irregardless of the wait, it was worth it - I can infer from me contacting law firms around your area that it is very busy at the court house and there maybe delays, expected after Covid-19 - patience and persistence was important and cooperation from the public respectfully - I just want to send a warm hearted ❤️ thank you to ERICA for her amazing public support - Erica in my opinion went beyond my expectations, I was provided with all answers to my questions. I verified all the information provided as per the request and the specific government portal to review and download forms were accurate and helpful. I want to also acknowledge her patience in my matter and her demeanour was highly regarded as professional. The leadership provided Erica with the right tools to execute her duties and her personality spoke to her commitment to the public- Thank You Erica - I greatly appreciate your support especially in these sensitive and stressful times. Thank You (Milton Court)

Does anyone actually work here?! How is this level of service acceptable? I've called numerous times over the last several weeks, trying to get a status update on a divorce application I filed over 4 months ago when they said I would hear back after 6-8 weeks.. The phone just rings after spending several minutes listening to awful menu choices and then proceeds to either give me a busy tone (doubt they're actually busy) or hangs up on me... I'm just trying to get an update here.

I am a victim of domestic violence in which my ex-husband stalked me and threatened my life. Despite obtaining a restraining order, one night he came to my house unexpectedly with the intention to kill me.

Halton Police had a warrant for his arrest and the court issued a restraining order against him prohibiting him from entering Milton. He was only permitted access anywhere North of Steeles Avenue in Milton because of the location of his workplace at that time.

Fast forward to trial, the ex-husband plead guilty to two out of the five charges he faced.

The Judge who presided over the case decided that despite all the evidence presented including the two guilty pleas, he was found not guilty. All the charges were dismissed and he was ordered to pay an $80 fine over the span of six months.

Where is the justice? If I was not a racialized woman, would this case have played out differently? This particular Judge and the entire court system has failed my children and I. They have proven to me that Black Lives really don’t matter!

Ontario Courthouse of Justice in Milton ought to be ashamed of themselves for their blatant racism and disregard for human rights. The legal system has failed to protect my family and I.

This form of injustice and discrimination has deeply affected my children and I. We are still psychologically dealing with the aftermath of this horrific crime. We have sought therapy and were diagnosed with PTSD. And we are always living in constant fear for our safety.

Domestic violence affects a lot of women from different backgrounds. My experience has taught me that there is no justice for a woman like me. And that perpetrators may be given more rights than the victims, allowing them to find loopholes in the law to continue the abuse without penalty.
