The room was infested with bed bugs. I found several bed bugs on the bed sheet, even one on the table cloth. I couldn't sleep due to bed bugs. I just sat on the chair until the sun came up. I got bites on my legs, neck and arms. I was terrified to bring the bed bugs home.

Omg, worst place ever! We prebooked thru expedia but when we arrived there was noone there, but a sign on the door told us to call a phone #. We did, but got an insurance company with a full mailbox, what? We got a call back immediately, but were told our prebooked room was cancelled by them.

Honestly we're glad. There was a woman peeing behind the hotel. Garbage was everywhere. They rent weekly and monthly. Renters appeared to have "problems" - alcohol or drug, not sure. Fithly grounds. Very gross.

The woman who answered the phone said she tried to contact us, but there was no missed calls on my cell.

I truly believe the 10/10 rating is friends and family. Please avoid this hotel.

This motel ruined our Christmas trip. To begin with no security with broken dead bolt. No tv remote, manager said it had been stolen. Shower didn't work. Manager wasn't there when we tried to check in. Not a great start but it got worse. Much worse. Turned on a light on the night stand and a German cockroach skittered across and down the stand and landed on our dog. Not sure where it went but we couldn't get out of there fast enough. Unfortunately we had brought 5 boxes of gifts inside from our car. They had food in some of them so we didn't know if the cockroaches had gotten into them. Or if they had laid eggs in them. Manager was aware of bugs but didn't tell us until we spoke to her. Asked for a refund but owner wouldn't give us one. Tried to speak to owner but manager refused to give us their name or number. Had to throw away dogs bed and blanket. All our clothes had to be disinfected. Gifts rewrapped. It was a nightmare. Family was understanding but we were on full alert in case one had gotten into their house. Stressful to say the least. Our car has sat in the driveway for several days unuseable. We have set traps in it and hoping for colder weather to be sure they are dead. This motel should be shut down and heavily fumigated. Or just shut down.

COCKROACH INFESTATION. RUINED OUR CHRISTMAS! |Didn’t realize until morning when we saw a German Cockroach when we turned the lights on in the morning. Manager denied infestation. These are very prolific, hard to get rid of bugs. Each egg case contains 40-50 eggs, only one will bring an infestation to where ever it ends up.|All we wanted was an inexpensive place to stay before making the last leg of our trip to the Island. Instead, this has cost us a fortune. Entomologist in family advised us to unwrap all presents and burn wrapping, had to throw out things we could not freeze or put in dryer on hot. |Right now car is sitting in driveway, filled with cockroach bait. We can’t use it for fear of bringing the infestation into our house. Our suitcases are outside as are our winter coats for the same reason. We are terrified that we brought this infestation home.

Great stays at the Coquihalla! Colette is fantastic. She has booked us in many times now and always finds a nice clean room and makes sure everything is set up. Super great service and don't ever let Colette move away. She is the best!

They currently offer weekly and monthly rates that are cheaper then the average rent for an apartment in hope. The staff are amazing. The place managed by an onsite mother. When I got here it was middle of a snow storm and I had just a file box and a suitcase to my name. My belongings where in storage. The manager provided me with a cup a couple plates a bowl and a knife and fork and spoon. My door froze one morning and the pregnant landlord came to my rescue beating the door handle off the door with a hammer to free me from my room. Yeah the units need some work but the staff are absolutely amazing. I feel like I found a great place to call home for the next few years.

so this place is nasty, we got a room that was freshly painted and didn’t think much of it i got these bites all over me and i found dead bedbugs and the bed was covered in old bedbug residue when lifted….the manager gaslit me into thinking that i was tripping and we left only a week into our month stay and she only gave us our damage deposit back and didn’t return any for the time we didn’t stay. I later befriended a member of the cleaning staff and was told that the reason they renovated the room was because of fleas and as soon as we left they treated the room for fleas because they were aware of them and just didn’t want us to know….. thats not the only thing that the manager has done that is very very unethical

Tiny basic rooms, good enough for a night. Our room was dirty, had issues with water and had no soap. Not a great value for money when you know there are other places to stay for $80 a night in this town.
