My experience with Connect Family Law has been frustrating and costly due to frequent staff changes and inconsistent communication.

The first time I sought legal advice for my divorce and parental agreement, I was assigned a lawyer who charged $285/hour. Midway through the legal process, she left the firm, and I received a letter stating:

"You may choose to have Connect Family Law continue to represent you, in which case the file will be managed by (new lawyer’s name), whose hourly rate is $400. You may also elect to close your file or retain new counsel outside of Connect."

Having already invested significantly—both financially and emotionally—I decided to continue. The new lawyer was competent and helped me finalize my divorce, but the switch resulted in a much higher legal bill.

Later, when I needed assistance with another family matter involving my young child, I was informed that my $400/hour lawyer was also leaving the firm. She referred me to a third lawyer. I emailed the third lawyer to book an appointment, but after six days with no response, I sent a follow-up email. She finally replied, stating that she would call me at 9 AM the next day.

I rearranged my work schedule to take the call, but it never came—until 12:30 PM, when she finally reached out just to inform me that she was also leaving the firm. At this point, the situation felt completely unprofessional and absurd.

This time, of course, I am taking my business elsewhere.
