we used city wide in welland in fall 2021 for water damage, cracked foundation at our sons home and were very satisfied. we had an issue with our home this year, may 2022 with water damage and water coming into our basement. we called city wide group thinking we would get the same service, boy were we wrong! i think they sub contracted the job. the workers would show up at 10-10 30 am and leave between 4-5 pm. they said they would be coming the next day and not show up. no one from the company would call to let us know. when we called the sales rep casey he hardly ever returned our calls. they used our old wheelbarrow that was functional, but when they finished hauling the cement that they had to remove, the wheelbarrow was destroyed. during construction some debris ripped our patio screen door, the workers did not try to protect the door and as a result it was damaged. days would go by that they didn't show up and no phone call and no reason. the proper tools were not brought to the job, resulting in wasted time and delays. They removed materials from our house to do another job at another job site. After a week of this, we contacted the owner, things got a bit better, a new crew showed up around 8 am. when we received the final bill, there was an extra $1500 on our bill. We called the sales associate and he never returned our call. We called the company and Steve the project manager listend to our concerns and came to see us. he followed up and told us that in the fine print that if the concrete was a certain thickness there would be an extra charge, never was this communicated by the sales associate, and it was not reflected in the original estimate. The conclusion was that the company would absorb the $1500 charge if we would absorb the cost of the wheelbarrow and screen door damage, i still don't think this is fair seeing as we had no part in the damage done to our property. The communication was very poor and as repeat customers we expected the same good service but this was not the case.

We bought an older house with 'basement problems'. City wide was so good, they solved all our water issues. Casey was very accomodating and professional the whole time. Chris, the foreman, is such a hard worker and really put all his effort into ensuring the job was done properly and efficiently. The rest of the team was just as good! Cleaning up after themselves, taking down walls and showing us/explaining where the problems are.
A few surprises when ground was broken - but the team was able to come up with a plan to put our basement back together. Thank you City Wide!
